The Space:
Welcome to “The Blue Door” cottage, where you can comfortably explore the city at your own pace, and relax within the walls of these historic character features mixed with modern style and ammenities.
The chic exterior of the cottage with its picket fence and its own piece of street art gives a hint of the beauty that lies within. Sit out on the front porch and chat with the locals and marvel at the little slice of historic Adelaide that surrounds you.
The gorgeous Tiffany blue door heralds the entrance to a stunning interior with polished baltic floorboards, character features and quality furnishings throughout.
The light filled front bedroom retains an original fireplace and looks out onto the porch through white timber shutters. The queen bed with quality linen can be split into two singles for added versatility. A wall mounted TV in this room enables you to snuggle in bed and watch your favourite programs. There is ample hanging and storage space for your clothing.
Down the hall, the second bedroom opens onto a beautifully restored internal courtyard which can be accessed through french doors. The courtyard features black and white tiles and a restored sandstone wall. This bedroom also has a queen bed which can be converted to two singles and a desk.
The cottage has ducted heating and cooling throughout and both bedrooms have ceiling fans.
Further down the hall is the bathroom and laundry decorated with black and white tiles and stylish plywood features. The sandstone wall is beautifully highlighted through a multi panelled window. There is a shower, toilet and vanity with stone basin. A hair dryer is also supplied along with body wash and other toiletries. The bathroom also contains a washer/dryer.
At the end of the hallway is the architecturally designed, light filled extension. This open plan room contains the lounge, kitchen and dining areas.
There is a comfortable sofa and ottoman with throws and an eclectic collection of cushions. From here you can watch the large wall mounted TV. There is also a speaker which you can connect to. Wifi and Netflix are both provided.

The timber topped island bench brilliantly doubles as a table which seats 8 or more and can be rolled to other positions in the room or outside on the deck for a sunny afternoon lunch.
Glass sliding doors at the rear of the house open up to the private rear deck which is dominated by a magnificent tree. A hooded gas BBQ is provided.
Beyond the private deck via a locked gate is a shady communal garden with vegetables, fruit trees and beehive which is lovingly cared for by the residents of the street.

The Glenelg tram and buses are close by and there is a network of electric scooters and bikes available for use around the city. Other Things to Note:
It is extremely important to look after and remember to leave the parking permit in the cottage on departure for other guests, as it is not replaceable easily. If lost of not returned, a charge of $300 will be applicable (which is the cost the council charge to replace it).
