Tucked away among the trees at the end of a quiet lane, this light-filled cottage provides a blissfully private setting that’s only a mile from downtown Chatham and Lighthouse Beach.
This home is beautifully secluded on a private dirt road, in the midst of conservation land frequented by deer, rabbits, owls, and wild turkeys. Yet you can also walk to Main Street, Lighthouse Beach, the Atwood Museum, summer concerts, whale watches, shops, restaurants, and Cape Cod Baseball League games at Veterans Field (the home of the Chatham A’s). This is truly the Cape Cod experience at its best.
Stroll or ride your bikes home from days at the beach to rinse off in the outdoor shower on the deck, fire up the gas grill, and gather at the picnic table for a late lunch beneath the trees.
Inside, the single-level living space is breezy and bright, with picture windows bringing in the natural setting on three sides. Use stainless steel appliances to prepare meals in the airy kitchen, set up after-dinner board games at the dining room table, and spend the evening hours streaming movies on the living room TV. As the day’s swimsuits spin in the washer/dryer, you’ll get a restful night’s sleep in the bedroom and the open sleeping nook on one side of the living area.
