The Gull’s Nest

The Gull’s Nest is a charming 2-bedroom holiday cottage in the seaside town of Whitby. Originally built in 1708 and once used as a Sea Captains house, the property is packed with history. Expect some quirky features and lots of charisma! If you’re looking for a unique stay on the North Yorkshire Coast, look no further than The Gull’s Nest. The Space: The Gull’s Nest is an apartment which has a living area comprising a kitchen, dining area and lounge area on the first floor. To the second floor are 1 king size bedroom and 1 bedroom which can either be a twin or kingsize. There is a lovely modern bathroom with bath and shower. Property Manager are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay. Guest Access: The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. Free parking as well as a number of pay and display car parks can be found nearby, and full details will be sent to you before check in. Please note that the stairs in the property are quite steep. Interaction with Guests: We’re always available for our guests so please don’t hesitate to get in touch The Neighborhood: The Gull’s Nest is located just off Whitbys Flowergate within the town centre and very close to the harbour. There is a fantastic selection of bars, restaurants and shop’s only a short walk away. Whitby itself is situated on the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast and is the perfect place to discover quaint fishing villages such as Staithes and Robin Hood’s Bay clinging to the steep cliffs to the north and south. Now popular with visitors all year round, Whitby is well-known for its sandy beach and fantastic seafood, all of which can be enjoyed no matter what the weather! Whitby offers something for everyone, perfect when heading away with a large group with varying interests. Whether it’s some seaside fun with the kids, walks along the coast, or dining in quality restaurants, you’ll find that Whitby has it all. As you make your way inland either on foot or by car, you’ll be greeted by the breathtaking moorland vistas surrounding upland villages such as Goathland, Danby and Castleton. Getting Around: Whitby Train and Bus Station is only a 5 minute walk from The Gull’s Nest making train and bus routes easily accessible. Other Things to Note: We welcome 1 small, well behaved dog.
