Located just over the road from Whitby’s West Cliff beach, this aptly named apartment is perfect for couples looking for a retreat by the sea. You’ll be ideally placed to enjoy the many attractions and eateries throughout Whitby with everything within walking distance. The Space: Saltwater Suite is a well designed, first floor apartment with everything you could need for a self-catering staycation in Whitby. Ultra tidy and modern, it features an open plan kitchen, living and dining area where you can relax, socialise and get lost in the stunning sea views. Light floods in from the ceiling-to-floor Georgian sash windows which also opens up onto a Juliette viewing balcony. The apartment boasts a gorgeous bedroom with a king size bed. Another sash window has views of the sea and you’ll also find a flat screen TV in the room. Featuring stylish tiles and a walk in shower, the bathroom at Saltwater Suite is modern and fresh. A WC and basin complete the space. Guest Access: Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the apartment are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. Saltwater Suite is accessible via lift. Pay & Display parking is available on the seafront. There are a number of other pay and display car parks throughout Whitby and full details will be sent to you prior to your arrival. Please note the property is not suitable for children due to the large sash windows and balcony with low railing. Dogs are strictly not prohibited to stay at Saltwater Suite. Interaction with Guests: We’re always available for our guests so please don’t hesitate to get in touch. The Neighborhood: Saltwater Suite is located on the West Cliff just off the North Terrace so you can expect beautiful sea views. The Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade is just a short stroll from the apartment and on Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day. The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, mediaeval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’. Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks. Getting Around: Saltwater Suite is located in the centre of Whitby so the town can easily be explored on foot. Whitby train station is just a short 15-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station. There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
