**NOW has private access to the lake (there are 70 steps to get down to the dock). There is also a public dock and boat launch nearby.**
This is a pet friendly, 4 bedroom (2 K, 2 Q, and a kids cot that can be placed in any bedroom upon request) 4 bath Lakefront paradise with sunset views, set amid perennial gardens and Mountain Laurels. Firefly Lake House offers a variety of bathroom setups to suit every guest’s needs. There is a shower-only bathroom located off the library and laundry area, a tub/shower combo adjacent to the 2nd downstairs bedroom, and a Jack-and-Jill style tub/shower shared between the two upstairs bedrooms. It is 18 miles North of Bryant Denny stadium. Drive up to this brand newly built hidden gem and discover Alabama history preserved and repurposed by talented craftsmen in this unique home. The home incorporates antique pieces from homes all over south Alabama. Including heart pine floors and bead-board, unique antique doors, stained glass and art collections. The owners designed this custom dream house and built it with their talented friends and coworkers from Habitat for Humanity of Tuscaloosa. Exceptional craftsmanship creates a mix of luxury and livability.
Open plan living, dining and kitchen with tons of comfy seating for watching movies, sharing meals, or hanging out with the chefs. The front patio and porch are convenient to the kitchen, and a perfect place to hang out while you grill up dinner for friends and family. French doors open to the back from the living area onto a large covered porch with daybed and breezy fan.
Start your day with coffee on the deck, then walk to the lake for some of the best fishing on Lake Tuscaloosa. In summer, the swallows nest under the bridge and dozens of them dart in and out for frequent forays to get food for their hatchlings. Wait till you soak in the clawfoot tub in the all marble main bathroom! After, take in the sunset while you lounge on the cushions in the bay window. Later, stargaze from the yard loungers away from all the city lights. Watch fireflies and hear the hoot owls. Enjoy marshmallows at the fire pit on the back patio!
This is an owner occupied property that vacates when it is rented. If you find some of the owner’s personal items in the condo, this is why.
