LaDoccia is situated on a hill, about 6 km from the medieval village of Anghiari. It can be reached along a winding road that runs among cypress, oak, holm oak and olive trees and cultivated fields that change colour throughout the year. It is an old stone farmhouse recently restored where we just recently decide to live.
The land around, 4.5 hectares, is partly wooded and partly cultivated with olive and fruit trees.
The location is unique: Anghiari, considered one of "the most beautiful villages in Italy", is located in the corner of Tuscany that borders with Umbria and Marche. Places to visit are numerous: cities of art just a few kilometres away, museums and churches with rich heritages, small medieval villages, ancient churches, pathways that wind through castles, natural parks and woods.
But, if you prefer the tranquillity, the silence around our house is absolute.
In addition to our apartment there are only two others, both with a private entrance.
Each apartment is furnished as if it were our own home, with a style that combines the typical features of Tuscan country houses with elements that evoke other places, other times, other journeys …
Casa Piccina
This is the smaller of the two apartments, but can comfortably accommodate 4 people.
Approximately 50 sqm, it includes a large living room with a very comfortable double sofa bed and kitchen area, a double bedroom and a spacious bathroom with shower.
The kitchen is fully equipped: hob, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and all the utilities you need for cooking.
If you cause damage to the property during your stay, you may be required to pay according to Property Manager’s property damage policy.

About the area
Arezzo, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Tuscany, Italy, is a destination that offers a rich tapestry of history, art, and culture. This charming city, less frequented by the tourist crowds that flock to its more famous neighbors, provides an authentic Italian experience steeped in tradition and beauty.
The city's medieval center is a treasure trove of historical architecture, with the Piazza Grande at its heart. This sloping square is surrounded by ancient buildings and is the site of the Giostra del Saracino, a traditional jousting tournament held twice a year that harks back to the Middle Ages. Visitors can feel the pulse of history as they wander through the cobblestone streets and explore landmarks such as the Romanesque-style Arezzo Cathedral and the imposing Medici Fortress.
Art enthusiasts will be drawn to the Basilica of San Francesco, which houses the stunning fresco cycle "The Legend of the True Cross" by Renaissance master Piero della Francesca. This masterpiece of early Renaissance art is considered one of the most significant fresco sequences in the world and is a must-see for any visitor to Arezzo.
Arezzo also boasts a vibrant antiques market, the Fiera Antiquaria, which takes place on the first weekend of every month. It's one of the largest of its kind in Italy, attracting collectors and enthusiasts from across the country. The streets and squares of the old town are filled with stalls selling everything from furniture to vintage jewelry, making it a paradise for treasure hunters.
The city's culinary offerings are equally enticing, with traditional Tuscan cuisine taking center stage. Local specialties such as Chianina beef, pecorino cheese, and the renowned Tuscan wines can be savored in the many restaurants and enotecas that dot the city.
For those looking to explore beyond the city limits, Arezzo's location in the Tuscan countryside makes it an ideal base for visiting the region's vineyards, picturesque hill towns, and the stunning landscapes that have inspired artists for centuries.
In essence, Arezzo is a destination that offers a blend of historical wonders, artistic splendor, and culinary delights, all set within the breathtaking scenery of Tuscany. It's a place where travelers can step back in time, indulge their senses, and experience the very essence of Italy.
