This beautiful Riverfront Mountain Property is sure to exceed your every expectations!
The owners of A River Mist Too had a dream to create a collection of luxury vacation cabin rentals that feature quiet and private settings spread out over more than 6 acres of wilderness-like terrain with spectacular views and easy access to the Watauga River, which is one of the most picturesque and pristine rivers in North Carolina. They began with A River Mist cabin that quickly became one of the most popular 2-bedroom cabin rentals in the area. In December 2015 A River Mist Walk, which is an amazing 1-bedroom retreat, was added.
A River Mist Too is the third in the collection of amazing River Mist homes. It is even more spectacular and luxurious than the first two! This luxurious 3 Master Suite home was professionally furnished and decorated and is strategically positioned next to a stream and pond directly overlooking the Watauga River. It offers extensive handmade rugs, hardwood flooring throughout, upscale amenities, private decking, amazing views of the river, and mountain views beyond the river. The Watauga River rapids can be heard from every part of this property, and a well-designed path has been constructed to provide easy access to this beautiful river.
Enter the main level from the 2-car garage or carport with no steps to climb. The main floor features a spacious floor plan with hardwood floors throughout and vaulted cathedral ceilings. There is a breakfast nook with a table for 4 as well a dining table with seating for 8. The fully-equipped kitchen features granite countertops, self-closing cabinet doors and drawers, a huge island with seating for 3, stainless steel appliances, a six-burner gas stove, and two ovens.
The living room has comfortable leather seating positioned around a beautiful gas log remote-controlled fireplace constructed with local stones and a 65" Smart HDTV with sound bar. French glass doors open onto the deck. Tiffany lamps, custom wall sconces, and many more graceful touches decorate the home.
On the west side of the great room is a spacious master suite. This room has a King bed, 50" Smart HDTV with sound bar, sitting area with Apple computer, a cedar-lined walk-in closet, views of the river, two glass French doors that open to the deck near the hot tub and a luxurious bathroom with an open concept shower, a large English-style soaking tub, bidet, toilet, and double vanities.
A wide spiral staircase climbs to the top floor from the great room. Upstairs, you will find a comfortable sitting area, covered deck, and two spacious master suites. One is on the east side of the cabin and the other is on the west side. Each suite has a King bed, a 50" Smart HD TV with sound bar, sitting areas, views of the river, deck access, and spacious private full bathrooms with open showers, bidets, toilets, and double vanities.
Step outside onto any of the many decks. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the rushing Watauga River just 50 feet below the cabin, and in season try your hand at catching some of the native brook, brown, or rainbow trout. With not just one but two stone fire pits outside, one by the cabin and one by the river, you’re sure to enjoy gathering around the fires while roasting your favorite treats.
The hot tub, sunken into the main level deck, overlooks the river and is the perfect place to relax away your cares. Stereo speakers are wired inside and outside on the decks so entertainment is never farther away than a button.
Across the breezeway from the main cabin is the 2-car garage with a large game room above it. The game room has a bathroom with shower, as well as a pool table and foosball table, 55" Smart HDTV and xBox One, café-style billiard chairs, and a kitchenette with a microwave and mini-fridge.
With all that this spectacular home has to offer, you may wish to never leave! When you do, however, you’ll find that the cabin is located just 25 minutes from beautiful downtown Boone, 35 minutes to downtown Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zipline, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, and Grandfather Mountain, and 55 minutes to Beech Mountain Ski Resort. The cabin is also only 25 minutes from beautiful Watauga Lake that has gorgeous parks, pontoon rentals and fishing.
