A River Mist Walk is a wonderful single-bedroom cabin and the second in the collection of amazing River Mist homes.
The owners of A River Mist Walk have a dream to create a collection of luxury vacation cabin rentals that feature quiet and private settings spread out over more than 6 acres of wilderness-like terrain with spectacular views and easy access to the Watauga River which is one of the most picturesque and pristine rivers in North Carolina. They began with A River Mist cabin which quickly became one of the most popular 2-bedroom cabin rentals in the area.
A River Mist Walk is a wonderful single-bedroom cabin and the second in the collection of amazing River Mist homes. This luxury cabin is strategically positioned near the highest elevation of their property and offers mountain views beyond a beautiful pond and stream that flow into the river. The Watauga River rapids can be heard from this property as well, and access to this beautiful river is just a short walk away.
Enter the main level of this spacious luxury cabin from the parking area up just 5 steps across the wraparound covered and open decks through one of four convenient doors. The front door opens into the spacious great Room which features a 26-foot high cathedral ceiling and oak flooring which is also throughout the home.
On the north side is the living area with a beautiful stacked-stone gas-log fireplace, leather sofas and recliner, 60-inch Satellite HDTV with sound bar and DVD player, and a beautiful exotic hand-woven rug.
On the south side of the Great room is the dining area with comfortable seating for 4 and mountain views through the windows. Adjacent to the dining area is the fully-equipped kitchen featuring a large island topped with Delicatus Gold Granite with seating for three, stainless steel appliances, soft-closing cabinets and drawers, Noritake Stoneware, a KitchenAid mixer, and high quality silverware, knives, and cookware.
Down the hall toward the east side of the main level is a closet, a half bathroom, a large utility room equipped with LG front loading washer and dryer, a utility sink, a second refrigerator/freezer for ice, and additional counter and cabinet space, and the entrance to the spacious master suite. This suite features a king bed with 600-thread-count sheets, a large walk-in, cedar-lined closet, a sitting area, satellite HDTV, and an enormous bathroom featuring an open shower with rain head and separate hand wand, a soaking claw-foot style tub, unlimited on-demand hot water, double vanities made from reclaimed antique barn wood, and a bidet all over a penny-tiled heated floor.
Upstairs is the large game-room featuring a Kincaid pool table, a full-sized leather sleeper sofa, a 60-inch satellite HDTV with sound bar, and a spacious bathroom also equipped with a penny-tiled heated floor, an open shower with rain head and hand-held shower wand, double vanities made from reclaimed antique wood, and a bidet.
Outside is a large wraparound partially covered deck equipped with rocking chairs, a gas grill, and a dining table with seating for four from which you can enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature including the not-too-distant sounds of the rushing river and the views of the pond, mountains and sunsets. Attached to the deck is a platform containing the sunken hot tub and in the yard is a custom stone firepit.
Stroll down the quiet, private street just a few hundred feet to the rushing Watauga River and enjoy a park created just for guests at this cabin. With a picnic table, chairs, & park-style BBQ pit, you’ll find yourself relaxing for hours here by the waters.
Located just 25 minutes from beautiful downtown Boone, 35 minutes to downtown Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zipline, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, and Grandfather Mountain, and 55 minutes to Beech Mountain Ski Resort, A River Mist Walk is a wonderful place in which to begin and end each memorable day while vacationing in the mountains.
The cabin is also only 20 minutes from beautiful Watauga Lake that has gorgeous parks, pontoon rentals and fishing.
Additional notes:
- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- PET FEE: $25 PER NIGHT PER PET. MATURE DOGS ONLY PLEASE. MAX 2 DOGS
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or by calling our office more than a week in advance. You will receive two kiln-dried packs of wood and a fire starter for $25 plus taxes as a one-night bundle.
- AWD/4WD is recommended during winter months at all of our mountain homes. In times of heavier snow/ice, chains may also be necessary.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
