With all new furnishings in 2021, minutes from downtown Banner Elk, and short drive to both Beech and Sugar ski mountains, this gorgeous home is the perfect place to explore, relax, and reconnect with friends and family.
The double large gravel driveways afford parking for you and everyone in your party. The beautifully landscaped front welcomes you as you climb four steps to the covered front porch. The porch has several rocking chairs, perfect for relaxing and looking out at nature’s surroundings.
The spacious and open living room is dominated by the cathedral tongue and groove ceilings, two large chandeliers, and the stone gas log fireplace. The furnishings in the living area are a welcoming mix of leather couches and cloth bucket chairs, with a 65” TV and a wall of windows overlooking the stunning mountain views. The living room TV and all TVs in the home offer streaming services and come equipped with all the best apps including YouTubeTV, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney+, and more. The well-equipped kitchen features custom granite counters, double ovens, stainless steel appliances, plenty of overhead lighting, and an oversized island with 4 café-style chairs. The modern dining room right off the kitchen seats 8 comfortably, as well.
Step outside from the great room and breathe in the cool mountain air. Enjoy the ever-changing mountain vistas from the open-air deck! Brand new pub-height all weather chairs are the perfect spot for morning coffee or an afternoon beverage. Nearby is a brand-new Weber gas grill and and outdoor dining table with seating for six. Steps from the kitchen, this is excellent al fresco mountain dining at your fingertips.
The spacious master suite, located on the main level, offers a bay window mountain view, a King bed, 55” TV. The large private en suite bathroom has granite dual vanities, a tiled shower with dual showerheads, a large jetted tub, and a large walk-in closet with built-in organizers. Off the master closet is a large office desk space with a computer monitor, perfect for those who have to do a little work while in the mountains during an extended stay. 500mbs WiFi internet is strong throughout the property. Off the master is a mud/laundry room with folding space and washer/dryer.
On the opposite side of the great room are two more bedrooms, one with a king bed and a mountain view, and the second offering a queen bed. Each bedroom has its own TV and closet. Between them is a full bathroom with granite vanity and shower. Another half bath completes this wing of the home.
Head downstairs and you’ll find a truly unique game and hangout space. There is a pool table, dart board, and huge leather sectional sofa facing a 70” TV. Additionally, a beautiful full bar with second TV, ice maker, bar/wine fridge, glassware, and four café-height chairs provides another space to catch a game or a cocktail with your crew. The fourth bedroom is on this level as well, with an en suite bathroom and granite vanity. This room offers a plethora of sleeping options, perfect for a 4th couple, kids, or a family. There is a queen/twin bunk and two sets of twin/twin bunks.
Accessed from the lower level deck, relax in the brand new hot tub with a mountain view! A few steps from the front porch you’ll find a special firepit area overlooking the home and the mountain view. The brand new all-weather chairs and rocker provide the perfect spot to relax under the stars by the fire. Renting the home also provides access to catch-and-release fishing in the private neighborhood stretch of the Elk River (permits required, and bring your own fishing equipment). There’s also a 2-car garage (access from inside) that you can use during your stay.
Perched atop a mountain just 10 minutes from historic downtown Banner Elk, the cabin is just 20 minutes to Sugar Mountain, Hawksnest, and Ski Beech Mountain resorts, and just 40 minutes to Boone and all the other High Country attractions. You and your loved ones are sure to enjoy beautiful Boulder Sky for years to come!
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- This home is in a quiet, gated community with full-time residents. RVs and trailers are not permitted and there is a very strict 15mph speed limit on the gravel roads.
- All homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers but the home may have them in the bathrooms.
- Boulder Sky is accessed by a road that starts paved and turns to gravel, and offers a large gravel parking area. 4WD vehicles will be necessary during November through April, and chains may also be needed during inclement weather.
- River Run allows guests of the property to access the community fishing area in the Elk River. At least one person in your party must wear the provided River Run Fishing Club hats hanging in the laundry room. There is a $100 fine for a lost hat. Thank you for respecting this requirement in order to keep the access open for everyone in the neighborhood.
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- Firewood for the outside firepit may be purchased from us with minimum 7 days’ advance notice, at $25/day. A day’s supply is 2 bundles and 1 Firestarter log.
- This property is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home.
