Magnificent mountain views from this pristine, luxurious Sugar Mountain home await you!
Enter the home with just one small step onto the flagstone stoop from the paved driveway through the double mahogany doors into the welcoming great room. Featuring cathedral ceilings and exposed beams, this open and airy room is graciously furnished with plenty of seating arranged around a gas log glass-enclosed fireplace and a brand new LED TV. A half bath is just off this room, as well.
Preparing meals in this home is a chef’s dream with the indoor kitchen offering features galore: a wine cooler, Jennair refrigerator, farmhouse style sink handmade in England, a silent garbage disposal, pantry with coffee bar and appliance shelves, and a huge granite island with 4 counter stools. A dining table for six awaits near a set of sliding glass doors leading to the covered outside kitchen entertainment area, which features granite counters and a built in Coyote grill as well as outdoor seating and dining options.
When it’s time to wind down for the day, there are three lovely bedrooms to choose from. The Master suite offers double doors leading to a King bed with cushioned headboard, wallmounted LED TV, and a sliding door to the open deck. The private master bathroom brings a spa-like experience with a glamour soaking tub with overhead chandelier, separate travertine tiled shower, his and hers granite vanities, and a makeup area. The second and third bedrooms, off the great room, also each offer a King bed and LED TV, with their own private bathrooms.
Off the paved parking area is a double garage. One bay is available for parking, and the other bay has been turned into a game room dream! It features a three-piece wooden entertainment center, sofa, puzzles, board games, Nintendo64 console with games, Super Nintendo NES console with games, and a Nintendo Switch docking station all designed for easy switching between games and gaming systems. There’s also a ping pong table for some friendly tournaments!
Step outside onto the spacious back deck and drink in the beautiful mountain views. The mountains offer stunning ever-changing scenery for you to enjoy all day long. In the chillier evenings, relax and enjoy your favorite beverage by the outside fireplace.
When you stay here, you’ll be pleased to find you’re located just a few minutes’ drive to the desirable Sugar Mountain amenities, including skiing and snowboarding in winter as well as golf, tennis, and hiking in warmer months. The town of Banner Elk with its world class dining is only ten minutes away, with Boone and Blowing Rock only 45 minutes away.
No matter what you choose to experience during your visit to the High Country, you’re sure to love coming home and relaxing On The Rocks!
Important Notes:
-Firewood may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.
- The owners of this home use outside surveillance cameras to monitor the safety of their property. No cameras are aimed at inside rooms.
- Access to this home is via all paved roads, with a paved driveway. The driveway has a moderate grade down to the parking area, so 4WD or AWD vehicles are strongly recommended in winter months.
- One bay of the garage is available for guest use.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
