Welcome to Mountain Dream! This like-new, three level home is the perfect choice for your next NC mountain vacation no matter if you prefer to be close to historic downtown Banner Elk and the Blue Ridge Parkway or minutes from the year-round activities in Boone and at Appalachian State University. Guests especially enjoy the two large decks to take in the peaceful natural surroundings and profile view of Grandfather Mountain. They pair well with both your morning coffee or perhaps a glass of wine from the nearby Grandfather Winery. The living area embraces you with the natural warmth of wood, and on winter days the glow of the soaring fireplace. The adjoining dining area is the perfect location to enjoy a backdrop of fall color. And the modern kitchen with stainless appliances is perfect for preparing dinners.
The master bedroom on the main level has a comfortable queen bed and the attached bathroom offers a combination shower/tub. Upstairs you’ll find another master with a queen bed, walk-in closet and full bathroom that offers a jetted tub/shower combo. Just outside the master bedroom is a large loft with cozy seating. On the lower level, find the third bedroom just off the family room with queen bed. There is also a second cozy gas-burning fireplace in the family room paired with a flatscreen TV. These rooms share a Jack and Jill bath, again with shower/tub combo, and easy access to the adjacent laundry room and deck access.
A highlight of this home is the easy walk along the gravel road to the small waterfall that cascades over large boulders and under the wooden bridge.
When you are ready to explore, this location is central to everything! Turn right and find yourself in Banner Elk within five minutes, or a few miles further to Grandfather Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Or turn left and find yourself only five minutes from Valle Crucis or ten minutes from Boone.
