Welcome to New River Ramble! Eco-friendly solar panel home. If you are looking to be close to Boone, but be on a river & feel like you are in the country, this is the house!! We offer something for everyone including a massive game room with everything from Skee-ball, ping pong, billiards and more!. There is river tubing, kayaking, fishing, biking, hiking, horseback riding, skiing. With river frontage & scenic mountains
-New River Ramble is located in the Historical District of Todd, North Carolina. You feel as if you are away from everything with the quietness of the river in the mist of the fields & mountains, but you are still within 10 miles of downtown Boone and Appalachian State University & 15 miles from Blowing Rock. Other areas of interest, within just a short drive, include Grandfather Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, & Linville Falls. Appalachian, Beech & Sugar Mountain are close for skiing & Hawksnest for snow tubing & zip lining.
This cabin has three bedrooms & a loft, two bathrooms & sleeps ten (10) people comfortably. It is decorated with mountain/river décor & has just about every amenity you can think of. From the large downstairs game room w/pool table, video arcade game table, Skee-ball, foosball, ping pong, jukebox & Xbox game system & with the outside entertainment consisting of: outdoors checkers table, Corn hole game, deck with picnic table, basketball goal, swing set, 7 person hot tub, large outdoor fire pit next to the river with Adirondack chairs, river tubes, & bikes. You won’t have a minute without something fun to do & the kids are sure to be entertained.
The house features: The two story Living Room has hardwood floors, comfortable leather furniture & a floor to ceiling stone fireplace. There is a large flat screen HDTV with a Premier Satellite package offering many HD channels plus local, movie & sports channels. There is a DVD player & a large library of videos for your viewing entertainment. The Living Room flows right into your kitchen & dining area. The large spacious kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances & is equipped with plenty of cookware & utensils to make cooking any meal a breeze. Your kids will enjoy sitting at the island helping you prepare dinner & there is plenty more seating once dinner is done for some great family quality time. If the weather is nice, grill up some burgers or steaks & enjoy dining outside on the covered deck while admiring the scenic view of the mountains, pastors & the river. There is also a outdoor checkerboard table. The King suite is located on the main level. There is a King bed, decorated in a bear motif & has a pillow top luxury mattress for a great night’s sleep. On a cool summer night, open your windows in this peaceful, quiet area & enjoy snuggling under the mountain quilts. There is a large flat screen HDTV for catching a late night movie & the bedroom connects with a full bathroom. The laundry with full size washer & dryer is also on the main level. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms also nicely decorated with queen beds, luxury pillow top mattresses & quilts & their own flat screen HDTV. There is a large loft with plenty of windows with great scenic views of the river. You will find a queen bed & daybed with a trundle. There is also a second upstairs full bathroom with a tub.
Going downstairs, you will find a game room with a Panther’s pool table, Golden Tee Golf, video arcade game table, foosball, ping-pong table, jukebox, corn hole boards & flat screen HDTV with an Xbox system. Outside on the back patio, there is a porch swing & a seven person cozy hot tub. There is a large back yard for running or playing ball with a play unit/swing set for kids.
At the river, you will find a stone fire pit with Adirondack seating perfect for roasting marshmallows, hot dogs or just enjoying story time setting around the fire & looking at the majestic night sky. The New River is great for floating down in one of the tubes offered at the house. It is also fun to just wade in or go fly fishing for a fresh catch. Just a short ways down the road you can find a place to rent more tubes, kayaks, canoes, bikes, & fishing equipment or take day excursions. We also offer several bikes to ride on the Railroad Grade Road. 10 miles of flat, paved road that runs along the banks of the river offering hours of bike riding fun. The front porch that runs along the entire front of the house is a wonderful place to relax in a rocker or the porch swing as you sip on your morning coffee. It also offers a peaceful, pastoral/mountain view & you can enjoy watching early morning cyclists & runners passing by. The driveway is paved w/ plenty of parking & has a basketball hoop.

-Check In is after 4pm. Check Out is by 10am.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling us with a week’s notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
- Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Bookings canceled within 24 hours of their creation will receive a full refund of payments. Bookings canceled more than 24 hours after their creation are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
