Blue Flower Cabin is located in the mountains of western North Carolina and is situated on 10 acres of beautiful woods with plenty of wild life and the sound of water trickling down at the creek. If you are looking for an escape from the rest of the world, you have found it!
The kitchen has everything you need to prepare that delicious meal after a long day of hiking, sightseeing or just hanging out. A full size oven, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig, as well as a gas grill on the front porch is available. The comfy living room has high ceilings, Roku TV plus antenna for local channels, and a gas fireplace. A perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee while watching the sun rise over the mountain.
On the main level is the Queen Suite, which includes a canopy bed with extra mattress padding for a most comfortable nights sleep. Reading lamps with additional ports to charge your devices as well as a TV, dresser and closet space for your hiking attire. Get refreshed in the large shower equipped with multiple shower head massage options. Extra warmth is available if you choose to use the additional wall heater on those cold winter days.
The loft provides extra sleeping options with a bunk bed that sleeps 3, (full size mattress on bottom and a twin on top). You can also find a cozy sitting area with additional board games/puzzles. The four in one foosball/ping pong/air hockey/pool table gives the littles ones something fun on a rainy day.
The cabin is off the beaten path and offers all the amenities you need to have a super relaxing time. If you still desire a bit of city life, it is only a 30 minute drive from beautiful downtown Blowing Rock, NC where you can enjoy restaurants and shopping. So come and chill out by the firepit and enjoy some star gazing! Soak in the hot tub at the lighted gazebo with walking path to the home.
Additional notes:
- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- This home is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home.
- AWD/4WD is encouraged year round. In times of snow/ice, chains may also be necessary to access the home. The driveway is steep and gravel.
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling us with a week’s notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
- Please feel free to use the cabin’s house phone for your calling needs. Local & long-distance calling is supported.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.

Boone, North Carolina, is a delightful mountain town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This town, which carries the name of the renowned pioneer Daniel Boone, offers a plethora of experiences for its visitors.
Nature lovers will find Boone an outdoor paradise. The surrounding mountains are laced with a variety of hiking trails that cater to all levels of hikers - from leisurely strolls to more strenuous climbs. Although not directly passing through Boone, the Blue Ridge Parkway - often dubbed as "America's Favorite Drive" - is in close proximity and provides breathtaking scenic views. These views become particularly spectacular during autumn when the leaves transform into vibrant hues.
History and culture enthusiasts have plenty to explore in Boone as well.
