There’s no better home base location to explore the High Country than this charming one-level home on Snaggy’s Retreat in Boone! Just a 5 minute drive will take you right to the heart of Boone, giving you access to all the wonderful shopping and dining it offers. Snaggy’s Retreat went under new ownership in 2023 and has since had numerous updates and additions including beautiful new furniture throughout, fresh paint and decor to give you a stunning mountain modern experience, and added-in arcade machines the whole family is going to love!
Snaggy’s Retreat offers access via a cobblestone path from the parking area with just one step over the threshold. The home is one-level, making this a great option for those with limited mobility. The great room is open and airy, with exposed beams and lots of windows to let in the natural light. Here you’ll find the living room with a cozy and inviting large sectional, making it the perfect place to gather. The open kitchen with stainless steel appliances is also located in the great room, keeping you connected with your loved ones as you prepare your favorite meals to share.
Snaggy’s Retreat offers 3 bedrooms to choose from. The primary suite includes a king bed and an ensuite bathroom. Just down the hall, Guests will find the second and third bedrooms, a queen bed in one and a twin over twin bunk in the other. These bedrooms share the second bath, located right in the hall.
Explore the high country or settle in and enjoy the game room. With a shuffleboard, Pac-Man arcade console, Star Wars pinball, and a large selection of board games, there’s something here for every member of your party. You can also step outside onto the open porch and relax in the cool mountain air. At over 3500’ elevation, the breezes here are always refreshing. As you walk down the stone patio on the other side of the home, you’ll find a firepit, the perfect place to roast some smores, as well as a hot tub. There’s no better way to end your day in the high country than to take a relaxing soak in the fresh mountain air.
No matter where you go and what you do while enjoying the High Country, Snaggy’s Retreat is the perfect home for your mountain getaway.

- Snaggy’s Retreat is not pet-friendly, Thank you for not bringing your pets into this home.
- Please note there is room for 2 cars max for parking.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
