A short drive from the Watauga River near Valle Crucis, Mountaineer Manor offers something for every group: beautiful fire-pit, hot tub, 3 acres of land, including a large fenced in yard to keep pets or children safe, and an amazing game room with few rivals.

At this home, you’ll enjoy gorgeous views from the living room, dining area, and kitchen. Floor to ceiling offer a view of nothing but rolling mountains and sky. The stacked stone gas log fireplace is centrally located between the living room and the dining area. The dining table easily seats eight, with another two seats at the bar. On the main floor are two bedrooms. The first room has a Queen bed with a private TV. The second room has a Twin over Twin Bunk bed, with its own TV, as well. The main floor has a shared full bath with a tub/shower combo. It is located next to the entrances to the bedrooms, just off of the living area. The main level deck features chairs for lounging and taking in the view. On the front side of the house is a gas grill.
The upper level is a private suite for the King Sized bed, in the semi-enclosed loft with a TV. There is a large closet, and a full bath. Soak away in the tub, or enjoy the custom tiled shower and double vanities.
Enter the lower level, and take your pick of pool or video games. Bring your favourite Xbox or PS4 games-- both are available! The fourth bedroom is on the lower level, with a Queen sized bed and a TV. The full tub/shower combo bathroom is located between the bedroom and the game room. Just a few short strides from the door by the pool table is the newly installed fire pit. Seating for seven circles the pit with solid, new Adirondack chairs.

On the other side of the home, behind the garage, is the gate to enter over an acre of fenced in yard. This park-like setting is perfect for keeping children or pets safe.
-This home allows up to 4 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $50 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted. Please be sure to crate dogs when not under direct supervision.
-Check In is after 4pm. Check Out is by 10am.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement. -The last 1/4 miles is a narrow, gravel road and then an uphill driveway.
-The driveway can accommodate 4 cars comfortably.
-Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling us with a week’s notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
- This property has a Doorbell camera monitoring the entryway only, no other cameras are present at the property.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
