Come and enjoy the peaceful elegance of this log cabin! Nestled in a gated community atop Junaluska Mountain, the mountain overlooking Boone, this cabin is an ideal getaway.
Access the main level from just three steps. The gated front porch overlooks the flat yard and community pond across the street, and there is an extended gazebo area on the porch on which to relax and enjoy the sounds of Nature. The great room of the cabin has a family room with cozy furnishings, a floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace, and a TV with DVD. The adjacent kitchen & dining area is a wonderful gathering place for the entire family, with a well equipped kitchen perfect for preparing tasty meals and a dining table for 6. The hot tub is accessed through the kitchen, situated on its own private deck area, and the gas grill is here as well.
There are two bedrooms on the main level. One room has a King bed and HDTV, and the other has a Queen bed and an HDTV. There is also a full bath with a tub/shower, shared by the two bedrooms. Also off the hallway is a laundry closet with a Whirlpool Cabrio washer & dryer set.
Upstairs is a loft with a futon and a TV & arcade game. This is the perfect place for kids of all ages to stay entertained. Challenge each other to friendly competition, or watch a favorite show on NetFlix. There is a full bath with a tub/shower, and at the end of the short hall is another Queen bedroom with an HDTV.
Kids of all ages, and four-legged family members, will enjoy romping around the expansive yard. Situated on a semi-flat lot, the yard area is a rare treat in these mountains. Just across the private street is a community park area, with a goldfish pond, covered benches, a picnic table, and a built in grill. Relax and unwind in the serene mountain setting.
When it’s time to go explore the High Country, you’ll be pleased to learn that the cabin is located just 10 minutes to downtown Boone. That means that A Bears Hill is convenient to all the High Country’s shopping, dining, and attractions. Be sure to experience this beautiful log cabin for yourself!
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.

- This home allows up to 4 mature (dogs must be 50 pounds or less per dog), well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25.00 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
