The epitome of a true escape, with pinball machine, video arcade, roast s’mores and hotdogs at the fire pit on a clear night, soak in the hot tub while gazing at the view, or play a game of pool in the great room while the chef prepares a gourmet dinner. Best of all, it is a very short drive to the slopes of Sugar Mountain, and is just minutes from their golf course and tennis courts.

This exquisite house with the best of everything will keep you marveling as you enjoy the custom touches throughout, such as 8-inch solid locust staircase beams, stacked stone fireplace and kitchen island, marble countertops, cypress ceilings, Travertine marble in all bathrooms, stainless steel appliances and an all glass front looking out on miles and miles of long range mountain views. In fact, almost every room in Heart Rock Lodge offers a stunning view - on a clear day, you can even spy the Swinging Bridge atop Grandfather Mountain!
The four bedrooms, which offer two kings, one queen, and a log bunk bed with full and twin, this home will comfortably sleep up to nine. There is a master on the main level with walk-in shower and separate soaking tub in a beautiful Travertine tiled spacious bath. A second bedroom with queen bed and private bath with walk in shower also has a view of the mountains, while the lower level has the other two spacious bedrooms. First, a second master with king and view from the private doors out onto the lower deck; third full bath with marble countertops and flooring and combination tub with shower; and the kid’s bedroom, which sleeps up to three with the unique log bunk and also a great view.
The downstairs family room has a large screen TV, private bar, pinball machine, table-style video arcade with sixty games, lots of board games and a gas fireplace not to mention its own deck to admire the view and access the hot tub.
The living room upstairs has a large wood burning fireplace in a spacious great room with pool table, all glass front and open kitchen for lots of family gatherings.
Fun family vacations especially for teens are difficult to keep everyone happy. Heart Rock Lodge takes care of that for you by offering a large basketball court, zip line for younger children, firepit with log seating, obstacle bridges for races, and inside there is a real pinball machine, an electronic arcade with 60 games, and a Hickory pool table for kids and adults. On the lower deck is a large hot tub for relaxing after a long day of skiing or hiking. There are lots of nearby trails to explore, and you can walk to the top of the slopes. All of this without leaving the neighborhood but nearby there are loads of adventurous activities for entertainment. We would love to help fill your itinerary with caving, hiking, skiing, rafting, fly fishing, canoeing, rock climbing, bird watching, wildlife viewing, and incredible restaurants and local attractions. Heart Rock Lodge is where your vacation will Rock!!

Additional Notes:
-Firewood may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
- The homeowner uses one exterior security camera: a Ring camera mounted by the front door facing towards the driveway.
