This beautiful and cozy cabin will surely delight you!
The spacious great room has exposed beam cathedral ceilings, leather furniture, a 42" LCD flatscreen TV and a DVD player, and a stone gas fireplace. The dining area is lit overhead with a Tiffany fixture and will seat 6 people comfortably with room for two more at the kitchen counter. There are also French doors leading outside to the large deck. The kitchen is well-equipped and immaculate with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Down the hall from the dining area is the laundry room, a full bathroom, and a bedroom with 2 Queen beds.
The master bedroom wing of the house is off the great room. This bedroom has a King bed, French doors leading to the deck, a writing desk, a leather chair and ottoman, and a TV with a DVD player. The private adjacent bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower and double vanities with a wide counter area.
Upstairs is the open loft which overlooks the living area. The loft features a Queen-sized bed and a full-sized futon as well as a TV with a DVD/VHS combo player. There is also a selection of movies for all ages to enjoy.
Step outside onto the deck and enjoy the fresh mountain air at 4200 feet above sea level. Grill up a tasty dinner on the gas grill and dine outside on the picnic table enjoying the year-round mountain views.
When you’re ready to venture out and explore the High Country, you’ll be glad you chose Atop Boone as your base camp. Located near Howard’s Knob just 10 minutes to downtown Boone, the cabin is convenient to all the High Country’s shopping, dining, and attractions. Come experience this beautiful log cabin for yourself!
Additional notes:
- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week’s notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.
- This property is pet friendly! Large, well-behaved dogs are okay; please keep pets off the furniture and crated when people are away. Firm maximum of two (2) dog per reservation. Pet fee: $25/nt per dog
- PLEASE NOTE: Main roads are plowed during inclement weather however; guests should be prepared with AWD or 4WD vehicles during winter months. Please pay attention to weather reports and forecast changes for our area.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.

The surrounding mountains are laced with a variety of hiking trails that cater to all levels of hikers - from leisurely strolls to more strenuous climbs. Although not directly passing through Boone, the Blue Ridge Parkway - often dubbed as "America's Favorite Drive" - is in close proximity and provides breathtaking scenic views.
