Located across the second and third floors, Apartment 4 at Glencoe is a spacious one-bedroom holiday home. Set 450 yards from Whitby beach, you’ll be perfectly place to explore the seaside town. Glencoe is home to four separate apartments with a maximum capacity of 10. If you are looking for a stay for a large group, there are often opportunities to rent all four apartments together. The Space: Apartment 4 at Glencoe features a flat-screen TV, fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine and a fireplace so it really is a home from home. You’ll be welcomed into an open plan kitchen, living and dining space. With a floral wallpapered statement wall and sloped ceilings, it has a bold yet homely look. LIVING AREA Take a seat on one of the leather sofas and turn on the TV to keep up with your favourite programmes. KITCHEN Cook up a storm in the kitchen and enjoy your home cooked meals at the round dining table. BEDROOM Head to the bedroom and you’ll find a cosy and tranquil space. With a duck egg blue feature wall and subtle floral wallpaper, there is a calming feel to the room. Enjoy your nights sleep in the comfortable double bed. BATHROOM The bathroom has a sloped ceiling with quirky monochrome wallpaper. The space is complete with a WC, basin and bath. Property Manager are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay. Guest Access: Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. We provide a parking scratch card for your stay which gives you free parking in the W zones in Whitby. Additional free parking can be found nearby, and full details will be sent to you before check in. Please note the apartment is located on the second and third floors so may not be suitable for those less physically able. Interaction with Guests: We’re always available for our guests so please don’t hesitate to get in touch. The Neighborhood: Set on the West side of Whitby, Glencoe is just a short 10-minute walk into the centre of town. Head to Pier Road and you’ll find cosy pubs, fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants. Continue along the lively road until you reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts. At the other end of Pier Road, you’ll notice the swing bridge which sits over the River Esk. Over the bridge, you’ll find yourself on the East bank which is full of narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’. Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks. Getting Around: The centre of Whitby is a short ten-minute walk from Glencoe. Whitby train station is less than half a mile away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station. There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
