Tucked away on a residential street in Putney, local options include scenic strolls around Putney Common and a welcome pint at one of the gastro pubs banking the Thames. And that’s before you’ve sauntered down the road to East Putney station to zip into the city for some exploring. Just make sure you save time for a BBQ or two on the patio. The living room sets the mood for relaxation, with a serenely smokey palette and soft, ambient lighting. We love how period features like a log-filled fireplace and classical cornices have been absorbed into the modernist vision, whilst plush sofas and a large TV make us long for some cosy evenings in. The kitchen is a masterpiece of contrasting tones and clean lines, bathed in natural light through a well-placed skylight and a striking, industrial-style glass wall. Fancy an alfresco meal, whatever the British weather? Choose from the large dining table perched by the patio doors, or a sunshine-ready alfresco alternative. The two adult bedrooms unite soft hues and stylishly simple design, coupled with a sleek ensuite. A handy guest bedroom doubles up as a charming playroom, along with two comfy children’s rooms, with a desk apiece. And it’s not just the little ones who have a perfect study spot — thanks to a rather slick little office, complete with glass partition. But with the option for evening drinks in the garden, it’s certainly not all work and no play here. We love... It’s got to be the bathrooms. Luxuriously-sized showers and glossy white interiors keep that signature sophistication throughout. Although the crème de la crème has to be the principal bedroom, which boasts a deliciously elegant, free-standing bathtub. We’d heartily recommend a few good soaks during your stay. Home truths: No smoking, pets, or parties! This is fabulous family home, best suited to 6 adults and 2 children. One of the bedrooms is set up as a playroom and features a double sofa bed that can sleep 2 — a handy guest bedroom if needed. Along with the study, there’s a useful desk area on the top-floor corridor, so plenty of space for everyone to work. There’s a utility room in the basement, equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Underfloor heating in the kitchen is a welcome treat on those chillier mornings, and two ovens and a Quooker hot tap make cooking at home an easy option. Please note, Property Manager homes are lived-in homes, which we think adds to their charm! Guests should, however, expect to find homeowner belongings and personal items within the property.
