Welcome to Sugar Mountain Serenity! This one-level property, the top level of an iconic Sugar Mountain roundhouse, is a perfect choice for your next mountain adventure! Located walking distance to the ski slopes, ice skating, tubing and Sugar Mountain amenities (golf and tennis in the summer) as well as an easy drive to the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster!
Accessed via a short flight of stairs from the parking area, you’ll find everything you need right at your fingertips when you enter. The family room is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the gas fireplace, big TV with Streaming services, and a nice selection of comfortable couches. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics you’ll need for preparing snacks and meals as well as a dishwasher. In warmer weather, open the sliding glass door to enjoy the private wrap-around deck. Once the leaves fall, enjoy your coffee and the profile view of Grandfather Mountain from the dining table. Peg storage for skis is located on the exterior right by the front door.
There are three bedrooms here, all located off the family room. The master suite has a King bed, TV with Streaming services, and private bathroom with a tiled tub/shower. There is also a Queen bedroom with TV and Streaming services as well as a bedroom with two sets of twin bunk beds; these two rooms share the second full bath off the hallway. Family friendly games, puzzles, and books are located in the bunk bed room (please leave for the next guest). Extra pillows, blankets, throws, and a HEPA air purifier are provided. A full sized washer and dryer are located off the hallway.
Sugar Mountain Serenity is perfectly located in the heart of Sugar Mountain close to everything this beautiful resort town has to offer including skiing and snowboarding, golf, tennis, mountain biking, festivals, and so much more. Downtown Banner Elk with shopping and dining is just a few minutes drive away. Boone, Valle Crucis, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, and Hawksnest Tubing are all twenty to thirty minutes away. IMPORTANT NOTES
- This home is accessed by a short flight of 7 stairs from the parking area.
- The property is the top level unit of a three-unit building. There may be other people in the units below you. The entrance to the unit and the deck are private.
- This unit has electric baseboard heaters. It does not offer central air conditioning at this time.
- Due to Hurricane Helene, renters must access the unit using the second entrance to Timber Ridge Rd from Sugar Mountain Dr.
- Parking is First Come First Serve for up to two (2) cars. Do not bring more than 2 vehicles to this unit.
- Trash must be disposed of in the community receptacle near the building.
- Due to the elevation of The Town of Sugar Mountain, all guests are required to come prepared with 4WD or AWD vehicles in winter (November-April) and during inclement weather, you may also need chains. Guests who fail to prepare will not be moved or refunded.
-The HOA does not allow grills on the deck.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.

Cancellation Policy - STRICT: Cancellations 60+ days prior to arrival receive a full refund minus the $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 60 days of arrival will not be refunded unless the dates are rebooked to another traveler.
