Enjoy beautiful river views in a quiet natural setting where you can enjoy activities in the slow-moving water of the South Fork New River, watch the wildlife from the rockers on the deck. A short 10 minute drive to the famous Blue Ridge Parkway with scenic overlooks, and 15 minutes to the charming downtown West Jefferson for shopping and dining. Great hiking trails abound in our beautiful area.

Single level living in this cozy, riverfront cabin. The living room offers leather furnishings, a wood stove, and mounted flat screen TV with YouTube TV and streaming abilities. The kitchen has granite counters, stainless appliances, and a Keurig for that first cup of the day. Two barstools are at the counter, with 2 additional chairs in the bedrooms if there is a full house. A full size washer and dryer set are tucked in the closet for easy access.
Although the home offers single level living, there are 11 steps from parking area down to the home, and additional stairs to access the river. You should not plan on using this space if your mobility is limited.
- This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- Firewood for the wood stove may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You receive two wrapped bundles and a fire starter for $25/night.
- Guests may wish to bring along a bluetooth speaker for music.
- The neighborhood road is gravel and is on a slope. You should have no trouble driving in standard car if you are familiar with gravel; otherwise, please bring 4WD or AWD. If there is snow or ice on the ground 4 wheel drive would be required. Motorcycles may not travel well on the loose gravel road.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- Check In is after 4pm. Check Out is by 10am
- Touch of Grey is next door to Knotty Pine and they share river access through the new stone steps into the New River, located in front of Knotty Pine.
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- This property has one exterior security camera monitoring the stairway to the main entry way and is mounted to the right of the front door above the window. No security cameras monitor the interior of the property or common gathering areas.
