Welcome to Moose Preserve! This cozy cabin is nestled in a quiet mountain community in historic Valle Crucis, minutes from Boone.
The main level is a great room with leather sofas, a stone wood-burning fireplace, a new HD Smart TV, hardwood floors, and a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. The open kitchen has granite countertops and stainless appliances. There is a king bed, an HDTV, and a sliding glass door to the side deck in the primary master bedroom. The full bathroom off the hall services the master bedroom and main living/dining areas.
Upstairs is a small loft with an oversized chair, perfect for curling up with a good book. The queen bedroom upstairs has an HDTV. There is a full bathroom off the hallway and a cozy bedroom with a full-sized bed.
Downstairs features the game room with a regulation-sized pool table, a retro arcade machine, a fireplace, and an HDTV with a BluRay player. The exterior door leads out from the game room to the front yard and steps down to the firepit. Also on the lower level is a roomy king suite with an HDTV and a private ensuite bathroom.
The covered and open-air, wrap-around deck offers a gas grill, outdoor dining table, comfortable deck furniture, and a brand new private hot tub. Doors from the large living area and the master bedroom access the deck, The deck spans the entire front of the house and wraps around 3 sides of the cabin.
Moose Preserve is ideal for mountain vacationing during any season, whether coming for a long weekend, a full week, or longer! A washer and dryer, WiFi Internet, and Smart TV capabilities are just a few of the other comforts which make Moose Preserve a wonderful mountain vacation cabin! Also close by are Sugar Mountain, Hawksnest, Tweetsie Railroad, App Ski Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Beech Mountain, and more.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- Firewood may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25+tax /night.
*** Moose Preserve is located in a mountain neighborhood that appreciates peace and quiet. Sound travels easily in the mountains so please keep social noise and music to a minimum. There is a POA noise ordinance in place that prohibits noise that can be heard outside the house past 9 PM. The use of 4-wheelers in the neighborhood is prohibited***
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled within 59 days of the arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
