Ready for A Change of Scenery? This beautiful mountain home, located between Boone & Blowing Rock in the gated Yonahlossee Saddle Club neighborhood, is just the place for that!
Enter the main level with just two steps up from the parking area to the covered porch. A nice patio couch set awaits under the covered area, a perfect place to hang out and relax during rainy days. The main level offers hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, a wall of windows overlooking the forest and mountains beyond, a Roku TV, and a wood burning fireplace with a plush couch in front of it. There’s a dining table with space for 8, and a fully equipped kitchen with inset granite counters and stainless steel appliances. A pair of sliding doors leads out to the deck where you can enjoy a meal al fresco or grill up a feast on the gas grill. Around the corner is a half bath with a washer & dryer tucked in the closet.
Downstairs is a game room with another large Roku TV, a foosball table, plastic-tipped dartboard, and a full bathroom. A Change of Scenery offers two King master suites: one on the main level, and one upstairs. Each suite has an attached bath with tub/shower combo. At the top of the stairs you’ll also find a reading nook. There are also two Queen bedrooms and a bonus room with twin-over-twin bunk beds on the lower level.
The home is very conveniently located less than 15 minutes to the wonderful shopping and dining in both Boone and Blowing Rock. It’s even within delivery distances for grocery and food delivery! All of the best High Country attractions are within a short and scenic drive away, including Tweetsie Railroad (20 minutes), Valle Crucis (15 minutes), the town of Banner Elk (25 minutes), Grandfather Mountain (30 minutes), Sugar Mountain (25 minutes), and Ski Beech (40 minutes).
No matter where you go or what you do in the High Country, you’re sure to enjoy coming home to A Change of Scenery!

Important Notes:
-This home allows up to 4 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
-Check In is after 4pm. Check Out is by 10am.
- Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking, or by calling us with a week’s notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
- There is parking here for a max of three (3) vehicles.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled with a 15+ day notice will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 8-14 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of their reservation payments. Bookings canceled within 7 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Boone, North Carolina, is a delightful mountain town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This town, which carries the name of the renowned pioneer Daniel Boone, offers a plethora of experiences for its visitors.
Nature lovers will find Boone an outdoor paradise. The surrounding mountains are laced with a variety of hiking trails that cater to all levels of hikers - from leisurely strolls to more strenuous climbs. Although not directly passing through Boone, the Blue Ridge Parkway - often dubbed as "America's Favorite Drive" - is in close proximity and provides breathtaking scenic views. These views become particularly spectacular during autumn when the leaves transform into vibrant hues.
History and culture enthusiasts have plenty to explore in Boone as well. Adding to the vibrancy of this mountain town is Appalachian State University. Visitors can experience collegiate energy by attending a football game at Kidd Brewer Stadium or enjoying a performance at one of the university's theaters.
The culinary scene in Boone mirrors its Southern heritage with numerous comfort food options but also caters to global palates with international cuisine offerings. Craft beer aficionados will appreciate several local breweries.
