Welcome to Parkway Hideout! This three bedroom home is located at the end of a private road not far from the Blue Ridge Parkway and the towns of Boone and Blowing Rock.
There are six steps down to enter the home. The kitchen is a newly updated with granite counters and stainless steel appliances, and well stocked, including both a Keurig and Drip style coffee maker. Serve breakfast at the island with seating for two, or use the full dining table that seats ten, located next to the windows to enjoy the mountain views. In the living area, cozy seating with the sofa and leather loveseat are centered around the gas fireplace and TV. The main level has the king suite with a beautiful, hand-crafted headboard. Guests have private deck access, as well as an entrance to the full bathroom. With a combination tub/shower, this opens to the bedroom and to the main living area near the entrance.
Upstairs are two bedrooms with a full bathroom and shower in the hallway between them. To one side is a large bedroom with a Queen bed and a set of Twin over Twin bunks, perfect for siblings or parents with children who need to be kept close. There is room to play and a seating area, as well. On the opposite side is a cozier bedroom with a Queen bed and a Twin.
Head downstairs and enjoy the full game room! First you’ll come to the App State themed full size pool table with plenty of space to take your best shots. Further down is a foosball table, a seating area, and a set of Twin over Twin bunks. Outside on the lower level is a deck that leads to the hot tub and fire pit along the side of the home. Soak away or cook some s’mores while you enjoy the peace of the mountains.
- This home is pet friendly and allows up to 2 mature, well trained dogs with pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs not permitted.
- The driveway and parking area are gravel and allow parking for 2 vehicles.
- Most of the roads are paved, but the last half a mile is a narrow, steep, gravel road. AWD/4WD are encouraged year round. In times of snow and ice, 4WD and the addition of chains may be required to access the home.
- Firewood may be added at the time of booking or by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundled of kiln-dried wood and a firestarters for $25/night plus tax.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Boone, North Carolina, is a delightful mountain town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This town, which carries the name of the renowned pioneer Daniel Boone, offers a plethora of experiences for its visitors.

The surrounding mountains are laced with a variety of hiking trails that cater to all levels of hikers - from leisurely strolls to more strenuous climbs. Although not directly passing through Boone, the Blue Ridge Parkway - often dubbed as "America's Favorite Drive" - is in close proximity and provides breathtaking scenic views. These views become particularly spectacular during autumn when the leaves transform into vibrant hues.
History and culture enthusiasts have plenty to explore in Boone as well. While not located directly in Boone, but rather in nearby Blowing Rock, The Turchin Center for the Visual Arts is worth a visit for its display of contemporary art from both local and international artists.
Adding to the vibrancy of this mountain town is Appalachian State University. Visitors can experience collegiate energy by attending a football game at Kidd Brewer Stadium or enjoying a performance at one of the university's theaters.
The culinary scene in Boone mirrors its Southern heritage with numerous comfort food options but also caters to global palates with international cuisine offerings. Craft beer aficionados will appreciate several local breweries.
