Come and enjoy this beautiful 3-story log cabin in the River Ridge community, a quiet country setting near the New River!
The main level consists of a large living room with a stone wood-burning fireplace and exposed beam cathedral ceilings. Cozy furniture is arranged around a widescreen plasma TV with DVD and VCR. There is a dining area to one side of the fully equipped kitchen, and off the kitchen is a covered deck furnished with a gas grill and a hot tub. The main level also has a bedroom with a queen bed, full-sized futon, TV & DVD player, and a full bathroom.
The upper level of the home features a loft with a queen sized bed. The master bedroom has a King bed, TV and DVD/VCR player, and a full bathroom.
The lower level contains the third bedroom with a twin-over-full bunk bed set, a foosball table, and a TV with a DVD player.
Rest and relax as you enjoy the mountain breezes and views while soaking in the hot tub. Access to the New River, one of the oldest rivers in the world and the only river in North America that flows South to North, is at the Big Hill Community Park just a short drive from the cabin and is perfect for tubing, rafting, fishing, and more. There are outfitters who host rafting and tubing trips, as well as guided fishing trips on the New River (as well as the other nearby rivers). This is a special treat in the spring, summer and fall! .
Bring your food, park your car for days, and enjoy a retreat from the rest of the world! Located just 10 minutes north of Boone shopping and dining, and within 30 minutes to Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Main Street Blowing Rock, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Hawksnest Tubing & Zipline, and Appalachian State University, and within 45 minutes to Sugar Mountain and Ski Beech.

Important Notes:
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained and hypoallergenic dogs with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- Firewood may be added at the time of booking or with 1 weeks notice. It is $25 per night and you receive 2 wrapped bundles of wood and a firestarter.
- Please note a Ring doorbell is installed and viewing the parking area, and there is a second camera on the front of the house facing driveway. Neither impede common areas visually or audibly.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
