Inside, the cabin blends rustic mountain character with warm, comfortable living spaces designed for gathering after a day of adventure. The open-concept living room features soaring windows and a beautiful stone gas fireplace, the perfect place to curl up on chilly mountain evenings. The spacious country dining table offers room for everyone to break bread together, while the large deck and outdoor dining area make it easy to enjoy fresh mountain air year-round.
The cabin comfortably sleeps up to six guests with one king bedroom on the main level and two queen bedrooms upstairs. The primary King suite features a beautifully updated bathroom with a large tiled walk-in shower, while upstairs guests enjoy cozy wood-accented bedrooms and a shared full bath. There’s also a half bath on the main level just off the great room.
Almost Heaven is ideally located in one of the High Country’s most beloved communities. Valle Crucis feels like stepping back in time, with rolling farmland, river access, horseback riding, and the iconic Mast General Store just minutes away. You’ll also be close to Valle Crucis Community Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, Appalachian State University, and the area’s top ski slopes.

Additional Notes:
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.

CANCELLATION POLICY: STRICT: Cancellations 60+ days prior to arrival receive a full refund minus the $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 60 days of arrival will not be refunded unless the dates are rebooked to another traveler.
