Grandfather Vistas has three bedrooms but also has one additional private sleeping area.
Come and enjoy this beautiful Timberframe-style home situated in a gated community with breathtaking Grandfather Mountain views!
The main level features an open floor plan with two entrances. One entrance is level and goes through the laundry room, and the other has just four steps through the front door and into the great room. The kitchen has leathered-surface granite counters, stainless steel appliances, and a huge island with 5 bar stools around it, and there’s room for 6 more at the dining room table. Cozy leather couches are arranged around the remote-controlled gas log fireplace with a 55" SmartTV mounted above it.
There are two master bedroom suites on this level, one on either side of the great room. The suite to the left has a Queen bed, 55" SmartTV, and adjoins a full bath with a tiled shower. This bathroom also opens to the laundry hallway. The other master suite, to the right of the great room, has a King bed and a twin fold-out sleeper sofa, a 55" SmartTV, as well as a private bath with a tiled shower.
Downstairs is a second living area with a café-style table and a sitting area including a Queen sleeper sofa arranged around another 55" SmartTV, a full bathroom with a tub/shower, and two more rooms each with a Queen bed. Enjoy a spirited game of ping-pong in the garage just off the sitting area! If you wish to park inside the garage, simply fold up the ping pong table and store it against the wall.
Both of the decks at this home overlook the beautiful views of Grandfather and Grandmother Mountains. The upper deck has Adirondack chairs and a gas grill, and the lower deck has a patio table and a 4-person hot tub. The firepit outside the house is the perfect spot for s’mores and stargazing fun.
Guests staying at this home have access to the covered pavilion at the entrance of the community. This pavilion has a wide open meeting space and a built in grill, as well as a large grassy area for kids of all ages to play in. Catch & Release fly fishing is permitted in the wide, shallow river flowing beside the pavilion, as well.
Located in the gated Timber Rock community just 15 minutes south of Blowing Rock, this lovely property is a wonderful home base for your mountain adventures. All of the High Country’s best shopping, dining, and attractions are just a short drive away. Kick back, relax, and take in Grandfather Vistas today!
Additional notes:
- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- Firewood may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.
- Please note that the wifi is not suitable for gaming and streaming.
- Please note that the owners use one outdoor surveillance camera on the front porch facing the driveway to ensure that their home remains safe. No cameras monitor the inside rooms of the home.- This property is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- Please note that the distances shown on OTA’s map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
