The main level features a great room with wood floors, vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and tongue-and-groove paneling, leather furniture, a stone gas log fireplace, a 52-inch HDTV with a BluRay/DVD player, and plenty of windows to let in the sunlight. The adjacent kitchen has granite counters and stainless appliances, and an adjacent dining area with a counter-height table that seats 8 guests. There is also a queen bedroom on the main floor with an HDTV, and an adjacent hallway bathroom with tub and shower combo. The glass doors in the great room lead out to a wrap-around deck that is both covered and open-air, with Adirondack-style porch swing and chairs, wooden rocking chairs, an outdoor picnic-style dining table, and a gas grill. Upstairs features an impressive master suite with a king bed, a large HDTV, a leather armchair, and warm vaulted ceilings with exposed beams. The private ensuite master bathroom has a double vanity, a step-in shower, and a separate effervescent soaking tub situated in front of huge windows which look out at mountain top views. The lower level opens up to a large den and game room with an HDTV and a DVD player, and two large leather sofas, one of which is a queen sleeper. The eight-foot slate pool table is centered in the game room area, with a dartboard on the wall. The laundry room with a washer and dryer are on the lower level. In addition, there is a full bathroom with a rain head shower, a comfy queen bedroom with an HDTV, and a sliding glass door leading to the lower deck. The lower deck has a large hot tub and wood rocking chairs, all with mountain views. The gently-sloping, landscaped yard wraps around the back and both sides of the cabin, and on one side levels out to accommodate a charming wood-burning fire pit with Adirondack-style seating. There is plenty of parking on the level, gravel parking area. Centrally located just a few miles from the heart of the village of Valle Crucis, Happy Ours is only 9 miles to Boone, 13 miles to Banner Elk, and 19 miles to Blowing Rock. Grandfather Mountain is about 15 miles away, and Tweetsie Railroad is only 15 miles away. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is only 14 miles away, Appalachian Ski Mountain is 15 miles away, and Beech Mountain Ski Resort is about 16 miles away.
