An Absolutely Charming Character Cottage Directly Overlooking the Village Green & Duck Pond. Located in the very popular village of Westleton, near Dunwich in Suffolk, Gallery Cottage is bursting with character and offers groups of six guests a perfect village retreat - only a short drive from Suffolk’s Heritage Coast. Families and friends can enjoy the cottage as a base to explore the area on foot or bicycle, with plenty of footpaths and cycle routes on the doorstep. Features of Gallery Cottage, Westleton include a wood burner, enclosed garden, pet friendly and private off road parking. If you like a local village pub, there’s one just over the road and visitors to the village are always very welcome! The Space: Ground Floor This family friendly cottage offers a kitchen/dining room, spacious living room, king bedroom and WC on the ground floor. Kitchen/Dining Room Placed at the rear of the cottage, over looking the charming garden is the kitchen dining room, equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Appliances include a Rangemaster stove with 5 ring ceramic hob and double oven plus warming tray beneath, a microwave, a full size dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. There’s a large freestanding fridge/freezer and plenty of cupboard space for food and beverages. Living Room Guests are encouraged to relax, unwind and be cosy in the gorgeous living room at Gallery Cottage. It’s a bright room, with three windows to the front aspect, over looking the village green and it’s a warm room with use of the wood burner during the cooler months (please bring wood, fire lighters and kindling). Enjoy your favourite films and series on the huge flat screen smart TV but please remember to log out of your streaming service before you depart. Ground Floor King Bedroom A useful ground floor bedroom with solid wood king sized bed placed centrally between bedside tables with lamps. Storage for clothes and bags is in the wardrobe and there is also a chest of drawers. This room offers a laptop friendly workspace if anyone needs to do a spot of work on holiday. Rear Porch As you enter into Gallery Cottage via the back door, you’ll be in the rear porch which is the perfect place for boots, muddy paws and perhaps your bikes. WC A well proportioned space with WC and hand basin. Above the basin is a heated and illuminated mirror. First Floor Carpeted stairs with handrail rise from the hall to the first floor landing where you’ll find the super king bedroom, twin bedroom and family bathroom. Super King Bedroom Positioned above the kitchen at the rear of the cottage with views of the garden, this bedroom offers peaceful nights in the super king bed, with storage in the dressing table drawers and on a hanging rail. Twin Bedroom With two standard 3’ single beds, this room is perfect for adults or children. Views out of the window are of the village green and storage is in the wardrobe with drawers beneath. Family Bathroom This modern white suite comprises of a large bath tub with mixer tap and hand shower, separate cubicle with Mira electric shower, wash basin placed in a useful vanity unit and WC. There’s an illuminated mirror over the basin. Outside Gallery Cottage, Westleton has a very pretty cottage garden, full of plants and flowers, which attract all sorts of wildlife (even deer sometimes). The garden is on a slope and has concrete steps up and down to the lawn which leads to the gravel drive. Guests must park on the gravel driveway inside the gates. Parking outside the gates belongs to next door but further unrestricted parking can be found along the lane outside the cottage. Other Things to Note: 1 well behaved dog is permitted but must stay downstairs and not jump on furniture. The garden is enclosed but please do not leave your dog unattended. The garden is on a slope and there are concrete steps up and down. Gallery Cottage may not be suitable for guests with restricted mobility. This is a family friendly property but the owners no not provide a travel cot or high chair so please consider this when packing.
