Home details
A spectacular beacon of classical elegance, Le Rocce is a five-bedroom masterpiece on the hilltops of the Amalfi coast in the heart of Nocelle village, with breath-taking sea views and a fabulous infinity pool from which to enjoy them. A staircase of 70 steps from the parking leads you down to the main street and through a maze of alleyways, to your private villa entrance.
Crossing the threshold, you are welcomed by an elegant, sophisticated open plan living space. Soft lilac tones complement the antique style wooden furniture and the cotto flooring, creating a traditional sense of character. An ornate chandelier makes for a glimmering centrepiece. There is a large dining table for eight and an L-shaped sofa at one end, in front of the Smart TV. The kitchen, which opens out to the fabulous al fresco dining area, has a large oven, microwave, double sink and plenty of surface space to ease meal preparation. There is also a bar and wine cellar available on this floor.
There are five double bedrooms in total, all of which have satellite TVs and ensuite bathrooms. All five ensuites contain Jacuzzi bathtubs, apart from one on the second floor which has a hydromassage shower instead. On this ground floor there is one bedroom, similarly traditionally styled, with a double bed and satellite TV. There is a second bathroom on this floor, also. Two further bedrooms are on the first-floor, both being incredibly spacious double rooms, with a separate living area, satellite TVs and fantastic wood furniture. Two more double rooms can be found on the second floor. All four first and second-floor bedrooms enjoy direct access to a panoramic balcony and one on each floor has a sofa bed, perfect for travelling with children!
Out on the terrace, the views are just exquisite, especially at sunset as the sun disappears behind the mountains of Positano and the pink and orange waves of light ripple across the sky. Overlooking the famous bay and far into the horizon, you can enjoy many an hour relaxing in the solarium, watching the boats sail across the blue seas while you sip on a glass of the local wine. The spectacular infinity pool is the perfect spot for a lazy afternoon or a morning dip, watching the boats set off in the early light as you enjoy a coffee and the fresh morning sun. As well as several sun loungers, there is a large outdoor dining table, two separate sofa areas and a few chairs in which you can gather in the sunshine. By night, the terrace comes alive with a spectacular display of lights.
Excellently located in the heart of the traditional Campania village, just 5km from the local town of Positano and with a direct bus to the centre leaving only 300 metres from the doorstep you have so much freedom to come and go as you please, with or without a car!

The village itself can provide for your daily needs, but also allows a feeling of tranquillity and isolation from the hustle and bustle of every-day life, with stillness and silence many can only dream of!
Further afield, there is much to explore, with Mount Vesuvius and ruins of Pompei a very short distance away as well as several enchanting cities including Naples and Salerno.
Try the infamous pizza, pasta and fresh fish from local producers, and of course – taste the wine! The sheer cliffs of the coast drop dramatically into the glistening sea, punctuated with pastel-coloured fishing villages, with terraced vineyards, lemon groves and an array of exquisite, well-marked hiking trails further inland. Of course, the coast is lined with stunning beaches, with crystal-clear water and unspoilt natural lands, also ideal for a scenic walk.

About the area
Positano, a cliffside village on southern Italy's Amalfi Coast, is a destination that epitomizes the Mediterranean dream. With its pebble beachfront and steep, narrow streets lined with boutiques and cafes, Positano charms visitors with its picturesque beauty and laid-back lifestyle.
The town's pastel-colored houses cascade down the hillside to the sea, creating a stunning visual that is quintessentially Italian. The Church of Santa Maria Assunta features a majestic dome tiled in majolica and houses a 13th-century Byzantine icon of the Virgin Mary, adding a touch of historical and cultural significance to your visit.
Positano is not only a feast for the eyes but also a paradise for food lovers. The region's cuisine is rich with fresh seafood, locally grown produce, and the famous limoncello liqueur. Dining al fresco on a terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea is an experience that encapsulates the essence of La Dolce Vita.
For those who love the outdoors, the Path of the Gods offers one of the most breathtaking hiking trails in the world. The path winds along the mountainside, providing panoramic views of the coast and the Tyrrhenian Sea below. It's a must-do for nature enthusiasts and photographers alike.
The town's beaches, such as Spiaggia Grande and Fornillo, are perfect for those looking to relax by the sea or enjoy water activities like swimming, boating, and stand-up paddleboarding. The clear blue waters are inviting, and boat tours can take you to nearby coves and grottos, including the famous Emerald Grotto.
Positano also serves as an excellent base for exploring the rest of the Amalfi Coast. Nearby destinations like the ancient town of Ravello and the bustling port city of Amalfi are easily accessible and offer their own unique attractions, from stunning villas and gardens to historic cathedrals and bustling piazzas.
Shopping in Positano is a delight, with numerous artisanal shops offering handmade leather sandals, custom-made clothing, and colorful ceramics. These make for wonderful souvenirs or gifts that capture the spirit of the region.
In essence, Positano is a blend of natural beauty, cultural richness, and luxurious relaxation. It's a place where the beauty of the landscape, the taste of the cuisine, and the warmth of the local people come together to create an unforgettable travel experience. Whether you're seeking romance, adventure, or simply a place to unwind, Positano is a destination that truly has it all.
