Thissio is one of the most beautiful, classic, pleasant and authentic neighborhoods of Athens. Acropolis, Plaka, Monastiraki, Gazi, Pnyka Hill and Filoppapou Hill, are all within easy reach on foot.
If you feel like going for a night out you don’t even need to worry about how you can return home as Gazi where are numerous bars, clubs and restaurants is just around the corner.
You can easily get to the apartment from the airport by the metro and get off at Thisio station and from there it is just a 10 minutes’ walk.
If you want to head to the port of Pireas you can get the train from Thisio and be there in less than 45 minutes.
Getting Around
The apartment is close to Thissio train station (10 minutes’ walk).
With the metro or the train you can go anywhere you want around in Athens from north to south easily anytime of the day. You can also get a taxi easily 24/7.
