Turkey Cove Cottage
Step inside Turkey Cove Cottage, and you’ll immediately feel right at home amid the retreat’s stylish and carefully considered design, amazing views, and ideal location! Turkey Cove is a stunning section of the St. George Peninsula sandwiched between the villages of Tenants Harbor and Port Clyde.
This cottage sits on a knoll with unimpeded views from inside the house as well as the large deck at the front. The lawn slopes down towards the cove, flanked by ancient apple trees and tall grasses. The property also has deeded access to Turkey Cove which means you can walk down to explore the waterfront, cast a line at high tide, or kayak from the shore when the tide is right. Your vacation home is also ideally situated for scenic walks, long runs, or bike rides to Port Clyde Village or Drift Inn Beach, one of the area’s only sandy beaches. Tenants Harbor Village is also close by. The larger cities of Rockland and Camden/Rockport are vibrant and diverse downtown areas, easily accessible from the home.
The living room is comfortable and roomy, making it the perfect place to lounge and watch your favorite TV shows after outdoor adventures. Above the living room is a loft, accessed by a ship’s ladder, that is a favorite place for guests of a certain age to play, sleep, read, and imagine. The kitchen is well equipped with a “gathering table” in the center, with lots of counter space and all you could need for meals of any sort. There is also a small dining area between the kitchen and the living room that often does double duty as a place to put together puzzles, play a mean game of cribbage, or look through treasures collected throughout the day. The primary bedroom is private and set at the back of the house, providing a sunny and roomy space with an en suite.
Boasting awe-inspiring sunrises and sunsets to look forward to, you’ll begin and end every day with picturesque views.
