Gorgeous 5 bedroom and 5.5 bathroom estate with a private pool, exquisite garden in the most amazing location (close to the beach and Girona city Center) perfect for 11 guests. The beautiful architecture of this recently built property near Golf del Emporda is only rivaled by the top quality of its finishes, visionary interior design vision and impeccable landscaping. This villa needs no elaborate description, as the photos paint an accurate picture: it is a dream, within a dream. Not to blow our own horn, but we think it to be the site of the perfect vacation - ready to receive its lodgers and serve up a nice chunk of the good life. Where style meets function, and utility embraces form - this is the place. Nothing is ostentatious, yet no luxury was spared. From the obviously modern finishes, top of the line appliances, comfortable beds, cozy indoor seating, abundant patio furniture and outdoor lounging areas, to the subtle earthy colours, wood inserts, play of lights, shadows and textures, all bound together by grounding timeless accents. If we were to define this property through its extremes we’d say the living room has a gorgeous cast iron indoor fireplace, and the garage has an electric vehicle charging station. Crazy, right? But in a great “traditional, but welcome to the modern times” kind of way. There is something impressive in the way the architect’s vision comes to life, even from the lasting first impression, the street level where sharp concrete angles of matte grey concrete coexist with patches of green and a perfectly manicured front yard landscape. Off to the second impression, the inside area: the open kitchen, the living room, the indoor dining and the outside barbeque area are all part of one generous floor-plan, split but joined at the hip. Distinct colours and textures of wood accentuate each other as they meet: the natural hue of the kitchen cabinets, the clean white beams on the ceiling, the wicker chairs and decorative baskets on the wall. Overall there is plenty of space to sit comfortably on the cozy couches, congregate and dine in style at the massive wood dining tables (takeout or something prepared in that fully stocked adjacent kitchen) or chill poolside, house-side, or anywhere else outside, if you choose to relax on the inviting outdoor furniture. So many moods in one single house! As versatile as the outside activities area is, as private and comfortable the 5 bedroom resting area is: 2 of the rooms have double beds (one with direct access to the upper floor sundeck), the 3rd one has 3 single beds, the 4th one has 2 bunk beds and one single bed and the 5th bedroom has one single bed. They all enjoy plenty of natural sunlight, and have access to impeccable bathrooms (you privacy is guaranteed). You can split from the group for more intimacy or spend all your time together, enjoying the best parts of this house: the intimacy of the private pool and adjoining chaise-longues, the upstairs sundeck, the main level lounge area, the chilled living room sofas, or picnic-ing on the perfectly cut lawn if you love to be close to nature. The swimming pool is a must for escaping the Costa Brava heat by frequently dipping in the water and the BBQ area has everything you need for planning meals at any hours of the day. All the outside areas are perfect for chilling, having a beer, gossiping, playing board games, or planning the next adventures - all we ask is that you respect the neighbors! First of all, welcome to paradise! We’re happy to have you and we hope you have an amazing time staying in our flat. That being said, at the risk of being obvious, here are some basic ground rules: Be mindful We are not the police, nor do we want you to feel like we are patronizing; but we think it’s our duty to point out some common sense stuff, as we’ve had our experiences with not so well behaved guests in the past. Respect the neighbors. Put yourself in their shoes, and keep the noise down to a minimum after 10PM. You are on holiday, but they might not be, and would appreciate a good night’s sleep. We want you to have fun, but be reasonable and don’t do unto others what you wouldn’t like done to you. Pissing them off is only going to get you into trouble, and surely you don’t need that while you’re on holiday. No Parties! We get it, you’re excited about being on holiday but remember, the walls are thin and if you’re having a party, so are the neighbors. And maybe they’re not in the mood for that. Don’t start a fight you can’t possibly win, it’s their town and we want to respect that. Any guest that causes a disturbance will be asked to leave the apartment immediately (no refund at all to be granted). Sorry! Watch out for slamming doors. Try to be quiet when entering the house, it’s not hard to be a good neighbor and we’re sure you can do it. Be fair! It is not allowed to have more guests than you indicate during your reservation. Keys & check-out Don’t leave the keys in the mailbox. If you leave earlier than check out time, please leave the keys on the table and pull the door behind you to shut it. Most flats have the type of door that doesn’t require you to lock when you leave. That’s something to watch out for, as it’s very easy to get locked outside (which is also a bummer, take our word for it). Make sure you lock the door with the key every time you leave the flat. That way your belongings stay safer. Don’t smoke inside NO smoking allowed inside the house. We care about your lungs, but if you have to do it, please step outside. We’d like to keep the flat from smelling bad when our next guests arrive. Don’t waste energy We kindly ask you to please turn the lights and air conditioning units OFF whenever you leave the apartment. We care about our planet. Extra stuff Additional cleaning, bedding etc can be arranged for a longer stay - but you have to request this while booking. Tourist tax: The government of Cataluñya imposes a tourist tax of €1.10 to be paid by every person over 16 per night with a maximum length of 7 days. The tax is a small price to pay in exchange for clean beaches, well-maintained roads, and good facilities. Arrival Standard Check-in is from 15:00h to 20:00h. However, we can accommodate late arrivals as well. Please note the extra charges for late arrivals: Arrivals after 8PM have to pay €25 in cash to the person making the check in with you. Arrivals after 12PM have to pay €50 in cash to the person making the check in with you. These charges are due to late working hours of our staff. Departure Check-out time is by 11AM. Note: if there is no booking for that day, talk to us about arranging a later check-out (if possible). Lost keys If you lose a key, there will be a charge of €60 to replace the set. Meet your surroundings The house is located on the idyllic Costa Brava, the most beautiful part of the Catalan Riviera. The closest big city is Girona, famous for the reflection of its colorful and pittoresque houses in the river Onyar, visible from the riverbank that crosses the downtown medieval citadel. Also, part of its contemporary fame comes from being the location where some of the scenes in Game of Thrones were filmed (particularly Cercei Lannister’s “walk of shame”). There is so much history in so many well preserved buildings that await you to discover this city’s incredible hidden history. The nearest beach town is called L’Estartit and is about 20 minutes away by car. The nearest beaches are Platja de L’Estartit, Platja de la Gola del Ter (the Golf of the Ter river, which this property overlooks) or Platja de la Fonollera (and El Mas Pinell). Also close you will find the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park. Traveling a bit down that coastline will take you to the Gulf of Pals and its closest beach, called Platja de Pals ("Pals’ Beach"). This is also a popular holiday location. Several gastronomic and cultural events are organized throughout the year, and the surroundings are simply breathtaking, with an unspoilt beach, dunes, wetlands and rice fields, all part of a natural park Traveling by car?
