Whether you’re in town for a wedding or family escape, you’ve found your home away from home. This hacienda-style home sits on 1.5 acres of rolling hills and trees overlooking the creek - close to town but far out enough to enjoy the quiet. Relax in the shade or sun with a table or alfresco dining. Gather around the firepit (as long as there’s no fire ban) for s’mores, stories, and songs. When the stars come out, look at them more closely with the provided telescope. Dripping Springs is part of the International Dark-Sky Community, an area dedicated to preserving the night sky. Make sure your stay here includes a trip to the Hamilton Pool, one of the best swimming holes in Texas. Nearby, Milton Reimers Ranch Park will let you saddle up for horseback riding, or you can hike, rock climb, or fish in over 2,400 acres of parks and open space along the Pedernales River. With nearby wineries and an olive company, you’ll feel like you’re in the Tuscany of Texas! Not too far from Austin and less than 60 miles from historic Fredericksburg and Luckenbach, this vacation home is your perfect home base for enjoying authentic Texas.
From the front door, you’ll enter the long and spacious living room with modern-rustic flooring, a comfortable area rug, and a wood-burning fireplace for cool nights. Curl up on the sectional to stream a movie on the colossal TV while you update your friends back home using the house’s WiFi. Several windows, tall ceilings, and an open design make the rooms bright and airy. The dining area near the back of the living room has the best view of the expansive backyard. Or, belly up to the breakfast bar with granite countertop on high-backed stools. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to make a family-style meal or just a snack for a trip to the creek. With a large central island and long countertops on both sides, there’s plenty of room for several cooks in the kitchen. The electric stove/oven with a glass stovetop and dishwasher make cooking and cleaning up a breeze. The second den space has a comfy couch and an Xbox 360.
Each bathroom has signature basin sinks and granite countertops; two are en suites.
