A fantastic, large farmhouse se in the village of Perry in Huntingdonshire which provides a perfect getaway for family and friends. The detached property is set within a large garden and is secluded and private whilst still being within a short driving distance to local amenities and larger towns. The hot tub is a wonderful feature and helps to provide a relaxing setting for sociable evenings.
The house features a fully fitted kitchen with top quality amenities including a DeLonghi coffee bean machine and a large cast-iron Aga stove. There are two other conventional ovens available as well and the kitchen is well stocked with all the amenities required for a self-catering stay. On the downstairs floor, is the utility room which has a doggy door which is the perfect place for the pets to stay. The utility room also houses the washing machine and dryer.
The dining room is adjacent to the kitchen in an open plan style and is a brilliant space to spend mealtimes together. the large windows and doors let the light flood in and the doors can be opened out on to the patio area which is great for those summer days.
In the living there can be found a huge sofa, 55" OLED TV with Sky package and the vintage piano which guests are welcome to use. A fabulous focal point in the living room is the iron fireplace, one of two in the property. The fire can be lit making for a cosy atmosphere in the Autumn and Winter months. There are also two sofa beds which are suitable for smaller guests to share or single adults. Should you require space for further guests, these these additional sleeping options can be provided for a small fee - please enquire for more details.
There are five bedrooms in total, all with king-size or super king-size beds. The downstairs bedroom has an iron fireplaces and offers dual aspects with views of the adjacent field where you can spot the neighbouring cows! It is well suited for guests with low mobility and those who have trouble climbing stairs.
Upstairs there other four bedrooms can be found: another with dual aspect; one with an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe, and all offering beautiful farmland or garden views.
There are three bathrooms: one ensuite, one family bathroom upstairs, and one downstairs. The family bathroom upstairs boasts a large shower space as well as a separate bathtub. The downstairs bathroom is mobility friendly with only a small step entry to the shower and therefore is ideal to service the downstairs bedroom. It is also great to use for a quick shower cool-down after a long soak in the hot tub.
The property is situated in a great location - Perry is a quaint and quiet countryside village surrounded by meadows and farmland. Outside of the village there is easy access to the popular towns of Huntingdon and St Neots as well as larger towns and cities such as Peterborough, Cambridge and Bedford. The accommodation is only a 15-minute drive from Huntingdon and St Neots, a 7-minute drive to the third-largest reservoir in England, and only a 45-minute drive to the historic city of Cambridge. This home is near Grafham Water, England’s third-largest reservoir which offers a great day out for family and friends with water sports, cycling trails, fishing, and overall immersion in nature.
The farmhouse itself is within walking distance to a variety of amenities including a local post office and a highly rated pub, and only a short drive to access local supermarkets, delicious restaurants for takeaway or eat-in, and an array of shops.
Please note that there will be the occasional trusted member of staff on hand to upkeep and maintain the property’s grounds and the hot tub during your stay allowing you to fully relax without stress or worry.
