Santa Marija Estate is the ideal location for anyone wishing to enjoy his own privacy, while still being close enough to the main town, where the hectic clamor of day to day life is ever present.
The Villa is located on a tranquil road, with ample parking space in its spacious driveway and adjoining garage. Upon stepping out onto the driveway, the imposing grandeur of the Villa makes itself present from the large planters adorned with Malta’s endemic cactus plants, to the colossal facade and entryway, which seemingly greets you into another world. The towering main door, adorned with blue touches, wherefore the Villa’s name originates, welcomes you into a cool space, from where the Villa’s bedrooms emerge on each side.
The first bedroom one notices is a double, artfully decorated in muted tones with subtle hints of colour, with an outdoor space leading into an internal courtyard. Another double bedroom can be found across the hallway, a gargantuan room, tastefully adorned with high-end pieces. This room comes complete with an ensuite bathroom fully bedecked with bath-tub and shower for that extra added comfort. Further along the hall one finds an additional bedroom equipped with two single beds. The fourth and final bedroom sleeps three persons in its three single beds, while two family bathrooms can be found on this floor, both equipped with showers. All bedrooms are fully air-conditioned and 3 of them feature an outside area leading onto the main internal yard, perfect for a nightcap or for enjoying a cool evening breeze. The main attraction on this level is surely the indoor pool area, complete with sauna for the ultimate spa experience. Being on the ground floor, this level remains cool even during the warmest times of the day, making this an ideal sleeping quarters for the notoriously hot Maltese summers.
Up the stairs and onto the first floor, you find yourself into the modern, contemporary space which is the open plan living, dining and kitchen area. With floor to ceiling windows all around the space, the outside is brought in for further embellishing the already elegant decor, flooding the area with natural light. The open plan area is decorated using subdued neutral tones, with smart pops of colour to further enhance the contrast, mirroring the vibrancy of the world outside the windows and the calm neutrality of the inside. The contemporary kitchen is fully bedecked with dishwasher, making preparing home cooked meals a breeze. The dining table complements the neutrality of the room, elevated further by its corresponding ceiling lamp a four pendant affair reminiscent of Maltese fishermen’s traditional netting. The living area features comfortable sofas overlooking the terrace outside, and comes equipped with a flat screen TV. A family bathroom with shower can also be found on this floor. An outdoor courtyard runs along the side of the living and dining area, spruced up by a row of potted cactus, a theme which also resounds with the cactus artwork found in the dining area. One also finds another front door in the living area, for easier access from the outside of the Villa.
The terrace is a splendid area, of which the L-shaped swimming pool takes the main stage. The pool is a great refreshing way to stay cool in the summer, while also providing a dazzling visual interest on the terrace. An array of sunbeds is also readily available for the essential top up of one’s tan. The terrace is surrounded by greenery, ensuring maximum privacy and seclusion from neighbours and the outside world alike. A convenient BBQ area ideal for al fresco dining is located just off of the pool area, giving you a practical and appealing new way to enjoy your dinners.
This villa is ideal for anyone wanting to enjoy a haven of peacefulness and privacy, without relinquishing opulence and comfort. Access to all the area of the property. The whole property will be rented, the property is private and not shared with any other tenants. We will meet you on your arrival and we’ll be happy to give you tips for making your holiday an unforgettable experience. We can also organise airport transfers.
The villa is set in the dreamy village of Mellieha, in the sought-after area of Santa Marija Estate. The nearby beach has long stretches of golden sand. There are many restaurants and bars in the town square, as well as grocery and convenience shops. The villa is walking distance from Mellieha center, however, we do recommend a car rental to explore the Island. Parking is not an issue as the house comes with free private parking space wide enough to fit 2 family cars.
Due to cleaning necessities the check-in time for the apartments is generally 3.00pm and the check-out is at 10.00am however check in and checkout are flexible subject to availability and confirmation. Please not that for the weekly price the property includes basic utilities as per below:
300KWh- for villas . We give the above kWh free per week with the apartment which is more than sufficient . However if the inclusive amount of KWh will be exceed, an extra charge will apply at a rate of 0. 35c per KWh. Other than that there are no other hidden expenses or charges. Also please note that when the monthly rate is selected, the price will NOT be inclusive of any utilities. Those would be paid for as much as one consumes. Water is charged at a flat rate of 1euro 10cents per night while electricity is charged at 35cents per kWh, paid as much as consumed. Cleaning of the property prior the arrival and after departure is included in the price. Any extra cleaning during accommodation will incur extra charges. Two sets of towels per person and one set of linen per bed is also provided by us, then it is up to one’s discrepancy to wash them as much often as desired. Please note that the rental price does not include the Environmental Contribution tax, introduced on June 2016 amounting to a 50c per night up to a maximum of 10euro for each continuous stay in the Maltese Islands. This applies for 18-year-old and older.
