Views of rolling hills, lush vineyards and cypress groves, a gorgeous panoramic pool, charming bespoke architecture—if you’ve dreamed of it, this Villa I has it. Originally built in the 16th century, this eight-bedroom stone farmhouse villa was recently renovated and it is now featuring modern furnishings and modern amenities. Use the villa as you would your own home in the Lucca countryside by the medieval hamlet of Montecarlo—there’s even a private health centre SPA and a grand panoramic terrace for outdoor dining with a magnificent view. The pergola-covered terrace is the perfect spot to sit, dine and enjoy the fresh air, and lush terraced gardens lead down to the infinity pool overlooking the estate
Stone walls and tall hedges make the villa’s grounds quiet and private. Catch up on reading in a lounger in the sun, cool off in the swimming pool, sit down for aperitivo on the four poster double sunbeds by the pool, and pick up market-fresh produce to toss on the barbecue and serve at the alfresco table for 16. While the home’s ancient roots dates back centuries, it also has state-of-the-art technology such as an integrated sound system and Wi-Fi. If you can tear yourself away from the vista, there are 3 flat-screen televisions inside with SKY channels and a huge movie selection. A very Reliable Wifi connection is available throughout the house, the hayloft and the swimming pool. While relishing the privacy of your villa, starting from April 2021, the luxury health centre SPA experience awaits to pamper you with an infrared sauna, steam bath, emotional chromotherapy shower and a relaxing area. It all stands underneath the pool and it features a grand glass window that will inspire your meditation through the views of the wine country. A pool table/billiard room and an elevator that links all floor from the ground level completes the entertaining list of features of the Villa.

One of the town's most notable attractions is the Villa Torrigiani, a stunning example of 16th-century architecture with its magnificent gardens and ornate interiors. The villa is a testament to the grandeur of Italian nobility and provides a glimpse into the opulent lifestyle of the past. The gardens, with their intricate landscaping, water features, and statues, are a particular highlight for visitors.

For those interested in religious history, the town boasts several ancient churches, including the Pieve di San Gennaro, which houses a precious terracotta sculpture attributed to Leonardo da Vinci. The church's simple yet beautiful façade belies the artistic treasure within.
The surrounding countryside of Capannori is a patchwork of olive groves and vineyards, offering travelers the chance to indulge in authentic Tuscan gastronomy. Local farms and wineries provide tours and tastings, allowing visitors to savor the region's renowned olive oils and wines. The area is also known for its traditional dishes, which can be enjoyed in the town's charming trattorias and osterias.
Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the proximity to the Apuan Alps and the Garfagnana region, where hiking, cycling, and horseback riding trails abound. The landscape is dotted with picturesque villages and castles, making for delightful day trips and exploration.
Capannori's location is also ideal for those wishing to explore the wider region of Tuscany. It is a short drive from the historic city of Lucca, with its well-preserved Renaissance walls and cobblestone streets, and within easy reach of Pisa, Florence, and the Tuscan coast.
