Come enjoy this beautiful, spacious, and cozy - 2 bedroom cottage that sleeps 8 guests max. The cottage overlooks the beautiful Ellijay River, which is perfect for wading in the shallow water or laying out during the warmer months. In the winter, you will love listening to the peaceful river, while enjoying a beverage and staying warm around the outdoor firepit and soaking in your private hot tub. The hot tub is located inside your screened in porch, which also features a propane grill, and a picnic bench to enjoy your meals overlooking the river. The cottage is situated on 7 acres that is shared with our home, which is located next door. It is less that 2 miles to downtown Ellijay, 10-13 miles to downtown Blue Ridge, multiple apple orchards within a few mile radius, many winery & vineyards, as well as many hiking trails / waterfalls that are within a 30 minute drive. Your kids will love the Noah’s ark playground & swings that we built which will be sure to keep them busy! Loungers are located on property for you to lay out. Tubing and kayaking are nearby at the Ellijay River Outfitters or the Cartecay River Experience.
Inside "The Cottage", you have 2 bedrooms (both upstairs) which sleeps 6 comfortably. One bedroom features a queen bed and the other bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds- 4 beds in total. There is a half bathroom upstairs for both bedrooms to use. Downstairs, you enter the front door into the open kitchen, dining room, and living room. Imagine cozying up on the couch in front of the beautiful gas fireplace, with a glass of wine. The dining room has seating for 6 and there is also a full bathroom (with stand up shower) behind the kitchen. Weather you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a girls weekend, quality family time, or just pure relaxation - this river front cottage is perfect for you!
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ !
This home is what we call “the river cottage” on this property. “The river retreat” - please see listing link below - is located a few hundred feet away from the house. This is a rental as well, so understand you may have guests there, so if you want to be secluded, this is not the property for you. We planted fern trees to separate the yards, but until they grow larger, there will not be complete privacy. They have their own yard/hot tub/and firepit, so those will not be shared.
Other things to note:
LATE CHECK-OUTS & EARLY CHECK-INS: Check-in time is 4PM and checkout time is 11AM. Door codes do not activate until set check-in time. Early access will not be provided without prior approval. Guests who check-in early or checkout past checkout time will charged the additional fee of $50/hr.
There is a security camera facing the driveway that will be on during your stay. Any pets or extra guest seen on property is subject to a charge.
