You’ll feel as though you’ve set sail on Hood Canal when you wake up each day at this unique waterfront home in Hoodsport. Greet the morning sun on the wrap-around deck, sip a mug of coffee at the water’s edge, and dangle your feet in the lapping waves from a seat on the staircase.
The 12-sided design of this dodecagon home maximizes the incredible sound-front views to the east. You’ll be in awe of the scene framed by the large picture windows, whether you’re preparing meals in the kitchen or watching movies at day’s end. The single-level floor plan is open, with one side of the great room occupied by the kitchen, where you’ll find stainless steel appliances (including a French-door refrigerator and a dishwasher) and a circular dining room table. On the other side is a living room with comfortable seating and a smart TV.
Outside on the wrap-around deck, you can grill in the sunshine, dine overlooking the water, or even descend a few stairs for a brisk swim in Hood Canal. And if you choose to stroll to Hoodsport’s restaurants, shops, and conveniences less than half a mile up the road, you’ll come home to the comforts of free WiFi and a private washer/dryer to take care of all your laundry needs.
Fall and winter are prime time for scuba diving. Two full-service dive shops are within walking distance and can cater to any diver regardless of experience level. An underwater diver’s park can be found just outside the house. Orcas have been known to visit the canal during the colder months. Feel free to use the shed to store scuba gear or outdoor toys/equipment.
