Fun comes easily at this charming home by the bay! Built in 1946, this lovely home is stocked with A DVD library, a VHS library, the necessary players, and a Blu-Ray player for anything you bring from home. That’s to say nothing of the board games and the round table in the breakfast nook perfect for tabletop gaming - not least because of the lovely view! Indeed, you can enjoy a view of the bay and harbor from several locations inside or outside on the deck. You’ll enjoy cooking together in the expansive full kitchen, which includes a prep island and plenty of stone countertop space. The downstairs workspace can function as a command center, or guests with remote work or schooling can use it (and the upstairs desk workspace!) to finish things up before heading to the beach.
The bedrooms of this home are all spread out, perfect for groups looking to enjoy their own space and come together to have fun. The first bedroom is to the right when you come through the door and is right next to this floor’s living room. This room features a backyard view and has a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination just next door. Head down the stairs off the living room and the second bedroom (with a hillside view) will be straight ahead. Across the way, the third bedroom (the main bedroom of the home) features a lovely modern sleigh bed, a backyard view, a spacious closet, and a spacious en suite bathroom with two vanity spaces, a jetted tub, a standalone shower, and a direct entrance to the hall. Two flights up, the fourth bedroom is to the left (across its own small hallway segment). Past the lovely reading nook, the fifth bedroom features a sleigh bed, desk workspace, and a front yard view. The half bathroom just next door can serve the guests of this room.

About the area
Newport, Oregon, is a delightful coastal city that offers a variety of attractions for visitors. It's known for its breathtaking natural beauty, with expansive scenic beaches and the prominent Yaquina Head Lighthouse serving as a striking feature against the Pacific Ocean backdrop. The area is ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, surfing, and wildlife spotting. You might even have the opportunity to see gray whales during their migration season.
The city's maritime heritage is apparent in its historic bayfront district where fishing boats are frequently seen coming and going, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere. Here you can discover a range of shops offering local crafts and fresh seafood restaurants presenting the day's catch.
Newport houses the well-regarded Oregon Coast Aquarium, which offers an engaging insight into marine life in the Pacific Northwest. Its exhibits showcase a variety of species from sea otters to sharks. For more hands-on marine experiences, Hatfield Marine Science Center provides educational programs and exhibits about marine science and ocean conservation.
For those interested in history, Newport's Historic Nye Beach neighborhood features charming streets lined with Victorian homes, boutique shops, art galleries, and eateries. It's an excellent place to wander around while immersing yourself in local culture.
In terms of food experiences, Newport certainly doesn't disappoint. The city has numerous restaurants serving everything from locally sourced seafood to international cuisine. And while Rogue Ales & Spirits has its headquarters in Newport - it was originally founded in Ashland - it still offers tours and tastings at its Newport location.
Beyond coastal activities, Newport also boasts attractions inland like the Lincoln County Historical Museum located in the central part of town. Additionally, it provides amenities such as hotels and shopping facilities to cater to tourists' needs.
In summary, Newport merges natural beauty with cultural richness making it an appealing destination for all types of travelers - whether they're seeking outdoor adventures or prefer exploring local history and culture.
