A five minute walk takes you to shops for kiteboarding, windsurfing, kayaking, biking, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, or apparel for trekking. Just three minutes in your vehicle gets you to water sports like kiteboarding, windsurfing, stand-up paddle boarding, or just a swim at the Event Center. If you like boating, the marina is right next door. Hike or bike on one of the many trails nearby. To get a little space from all this action, Interstate-84 is nearby that will take you east to The Dalles, or west to Cascade Locks and the National Scenic Area of the Columbia River Gorge. Highway 35 will take you south on a 45 minute drive through the orchards of Hood River Valley to Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort and on to the historic Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. Or take the Hood River Bridge north to Washington and the town of White Salmon.
