There is a Queen bedroom with an additional Queen sofa sleeper in the living area, making this the perfect home for 4. Dining area comfortably accommodates 6 with a 4 place dining room table and two place bar counter with bar stools. In addition, the front area patio/court yard has a dining table that seats 4, perfect for those summer nights! The attached garage keeps your vehicle cool in summer and warm and dry in winter. The garage has secure storage space for all your sports equipment, too. That being said, if you are in need, there is an additional 4 bedroom home available for rent attached to this apartment, perfect for those larger parties! A five minute walk takes you to shops for kiteboarding, windsurfing, kayaking, biking, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, or apparel for trekking. In this mix of shops are restaurants, bars, theaters, pubs and coffee shops. No need to drive.
Outdoor recreation is close. Just three minutes in your vehicle gets you to water sports like kiteboarding, windsurfing, stand-up paddle boarding, or just a swim at the Event Center. If you like boating, the marina is right next door. Hike or bike on one of the many trails nearby.
To get a little space from all this action, Interstate-84 is nearby that will take you east to The Dalles, or west to Cascade Locks and the National Scenic Area of the Columbia River Gorge. Highway 35 will take you south on a 45 minute drive through the orchards of Hood River Valley to Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort and on to the historic Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. Or take the Hood River Bridge north to Washington and the town of White Salmon.
