No matter the season, this open and airy traditional cabin is ready to welcome you to Soda Springs! Inside, you’ll find a central great room with vaulted ceilings, a cozy living area with plenty of seating and a TV, a dining table and chairs, and a well-equipped kitchen. An upstairs loft area has a double sofa bed for extra sleeping space, while the washer/dryer adds convenience during your stay.
Take in evergreen views from the deck, the perfect spot for morning coffee or evening cocktails. Or grab a sled and race down the hill out back. Hillside Haven feels like a private oasis within the Serene Lakes community, with forest views and undeveloped lots on either side. Enjoy an old-school but new-tech cabin equipped for working remotely and entertainment with high-speed Starlink satellite internet, DirecTV, and numerous streaming services.
Ideal for cross-country skiers, Royal Gorge trails are right across the street (92 groomed, tracked trails- over 140km). Downhill skiers can head to the Soda Springs Ski Resort (1.5 miles), or hit the slopes at Sugar Bowl or Boreal (5 miles). You’ll love the mountain biking and hiking trails outside the front door in summer. Lake Serena and Lake Dulzura (the Serene Lakes) are a few blocks away for kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, or relaxing on the beach. For even more watersports and lake activities, you are under 10 miles from the shores of Donner Lake and 27 miles from Lake Tahoe. The town of Truckee is 15 miles away for dining and shopping.

The Donner Summit area gets a lot of snow in most winters; big snow storms may affect utilities, and snow loads may prevent access to decks.
