You’ll find this home in the very heart of Cascade Locks, with driveway parking out front, an electric vehicle charging station nearby, and a stop for the Columbia Gorge Express (the bus from Portland) only a block away. There’s much within walking distance, including classic burgers and ice cream at the Eastwind Drive-In (a quarter-mile north), the Pacific Crest Trail (a quarter-mile south), the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail (also a quarter-mile south), and Marine Park at the river’s edge (less than half a mile north). Take a day to drive 19 miles east to Hood River for world-class windsurfing and a wondrous collection of orchards and vineyards, or cross the Bridge of the Gods to hike Beacon Rock or Hamilton Mountain on the Washington side of the Gorge (eight miles west).
