Beautifully situated on a 12acre, private waterfront peninsula on the shores of Douglas Lake, Haleywood is the scenic, secluded, and incredibly appointed family retreat in Sevierville that you’ve been dreaming of. This expansive property includes a pair of twobedroom homes, affectionately dubbed The Lodge and The Cottage with a private saltwater swimming pool in between. Take an athletic walk to the private dock on the seasonal lakeshore, where you’ll find kayaks that you can take out for serene morning excursions in the summertime, and enjoy access to a public boat ramp within an extremely short drive of the property.
The Lodge home is a beautiful blend of old and new, rustic and stylish, offering gorgeous details of Tennessee stone and wood throughout. Enjoy meals as a family in the French bistrostyle kitchen awash with sunlight. Host barbecues outside on the deck whilst taking in the 180degree mountain views, spend crisp mornings and evenings curled up by the woodburning fireplace or outside firepit, and take your pick of two bedrooms to retreat to at night, or a sofabed in the family room for extra sleeping space. The first bedroom known as the Cabin Room has amazing original woodplank walls that give the ambiance of a woodland cabin. It is part of the original 100yearold structure, preserved in the same style of the early Tennessee mountain cabins. The second bedroom, or the Savannah Room, features lofty ceilings and is beautifully decorated with the charm of old Savannah. Be sure to visit the real penny floor in the Money Pit Bathroom where treasures are hidden, such as an old Roman coin from 300 AD, an early Indian penny, and even some British coins!
The Cottage is more casual, comfortable, and full of fun most notably, a fantastic game room with air hockey and pool tables, tabletop shuffleboard, a large TV with oversized beanbags, a dartboard, and a Multicade console. You’ll also find a second full kitchen here and two bedrooms upstairs. You’ll love the retro1950s diner booth and counter that connect into the kitchen and the Englishpubstyle bar near the dartboard with whiskeybarrel tables. Take a tour of the homes to explore all the boutiquestyle accommodations, each room with its own stylish theme. The kids will love discovering the treasures along the private Woodland Walk and Bamboo Forest.
With 12 acres of land, a 30,000gallon sundrenched saltwater pool, and 1,000 feet of seasonal lakefront at your fingertips, you need never leave home to have an unforgettable and authentic Tennessee mountain stay. There is a private nature trail and a private dock with two driveon jet ski pontoons on the grounds, as well as public boat ramps at TRWA Flat Creek Access three minutes away and Mountain Cove Marina. When you’re not soaking in the Tennessee sunshine on Douglas Lake, you’ll be eight miles northeast of downtown Sevierville, 14 miles north of Dollywood and Splash Country, and 15 miles north of downtown Pigeon Forge. If you’re a nature lover, you’ll find countless sources of entertainment in Great Smoky Mountains National Park 23 miles south, a wonderful place to observe wildlife, fish, hike, and take long, scenic drives in every season.
