During the summer, head out on the water at nearby Donner Lake three miles away, or make a day of it and drive 20 miles south to legendary Lake Tahoe. Downtown Truckee is only three and a half miles away where you can find a handful of shops, galleries, and restaurants for every taste. THINGS TO KNOW Snowbirdfriendly! While chains are required in winter, a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Following the Tahoe Donner HOA agreements, gatherings of people not renting the home are not allowed. Authorities will be notified if there is a party or large gathering in the home. No excessive noise andor trash. All exterior lights must be turned off between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am, seven days a week. There is a 16 per personper day fee to access the amenities in Tahoe Donner. Kids under 7 are free.
