Eagles Nest
Welcome to the home away from home that will host the getaway of your dreams. Eagles Nest offers guests a great location 10 minutes to town but still feels remote and secluded. The house footprint was well thought out to take advantage of the views and create plenty of room for six people to spread out or come together on the main floor open floor plan. There is a seasonal creek on the property and six acres to explore with a few walking paths.
The private hot tub provides guests with the ultimate relaxation spot after a day of skiing or a day out on the lake and taking in the beauty of surrounding nature. The large deck off of the living room is a great place to relax and enjoy the views - barbecues here are a hit among guests. The basement is set up either as a hangout spot for the kids or a quiet office to get work done. The kitchen and living room is a large open space to congregate during meals and there are two full bathrooms for convenience. There is also internet service and a strong cell signal in the house along with three smart TVs.
The neighborhood has a private beach to enjoy a picnic or utilize the lake in the summertime. In the wintertime, you can enjoy world-class skiing at Schweitzer only 19 miles away. In the summertime, there are endless water activities on the lake such as kayaking and paddleboarding, and hiking and biking all around. You will also enjoy the accessibility of being close to the town of Sandpoint (seven miles away) but secluded enough to enjoy privacy.

About the area
Sandpoint, Idaho, is a hidden treasure tucked away in the mountainous terrain of the Pacific Northwest. Despite its population of around 8,000 making it more akin to a small city, it retains a charming small-town vibe. It offers an enticing blend of natural splendor, outdoor pursuits, and cultural experiences that make it a compelling destination for travelers.
Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho's largest lake and one of Sandpoint's main attractions, offers visitors an array of water-based activities such as boating, fishing, and swimming. The lake also provides breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and forests - perfect for photography or simply unwinding.
For those who favor land-based adventures, Sandpoint has numerous hiking and biking trails that meander through its scenic landscapes. During winter months, Schweitzer Mountain Resort transforms into a paradise for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts.
Sandpoint also boasts a vibrant arts scene with many galleries exhibiting local artists' work. The Panida Theater hosts live performances ranging from music concerts to theater productions.
Culinary enthusiasts will enjoy Sandpoint's food scene which features farm-to-table restaurants serving locally sourced dishes. While there are some wineries near Sandpoint along with craft breweries for those interested in tasting local beverages, it should be noted that this is not primarily a wine destination.
Despite its size as a small city rather than town, Sandpoint is quite walkable with most attractions located within easy reach of each other in the downtown and lakefront areas. However, having access to a car would be advantageous for exploring the outer regions or visiting natural attractions such as Schweitzer Mountain or Lake Pend Oreille.
In essence, Sandpoint presents an attractive combination of outdoor adventure and cultural experiences set against Idaho's stunning natural beauty. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast or someone seeking relaxation amidst beautiful scenery, Sandpoint has something to offer you.
