You deserve a break, and this comfortable house in Florence is the place to take it! Offering a quiet riverfront location, entertainment, and nearby beach access, you’ll have an exceptional time here. Located at the southwest end of town on the banks of the Siuslaw River, you’ll have conveniences within short driving distance, since historic Old Town is about a mile down the road. There are lush forests and rolling sand dunes to explore just south across the bridge, as well as beach access within a few miles. The sunny deck is furnished with patio tables - enjoy the view and grill up tasty food on the gas barbecue. Take the stairs to the firepit for roasting s’mores around a campfire in the sand, and follow the trail down to the river for a tranquil sight from the riverside bench.
The home is warm and welcoming, with vaulted wood ceilings and large picture windows brightening the interior. Grab a seat in the comfy living room, settling in front of the gas fireplace on a variety of furniture with a view of the river outside. This room is ideal for talking, reading, and making memories by playing a board game with the whole group! On stormy days, a smart TV with cable, along with a DVD collection, provide entertainment for a movie night. An open kitchen features stainless steel appliances and everything you need to make delicious home-cooked meals, including a blender, coffeemaker, and dishwasher for convenience. A couple of armchairs by the windows are perfect for drinking coffee and reading, and six will fit around the dining table for dinner. The primary bedroom features a queen bed with dune and river views, plus a full private bath. Another bedroom has a queen bed and a small TV with a full bath nearby, and the loft also offers a cozy space with a queen bed. Downstairs, a bonus room has a futon to sleep any remaining guests, with the final bathroom easily accessible.
Spend your days playing on the beach, sandboarding down dunes, surfing waves, and beachcombing for treasures. The closest beach access is just up Rhododendron Drive, at North Jetty. Or, drive south across the bridge and out South Jetty for less crowded sands also well suited for riding ATVs or sandboarding. The town of Florence is quaint but offers quality shopping, dining, and opportunities for fresh seafood. Have an unforgettable meal at the upscale Waterfront Depot, try something new at Spice, or buy some fresh catches at the Krab Kettle to cook up yourself! You’ll be so close to the coastal forests in this house, there’s no excuse not to explore - drive down Highway 101 to find beautiful hiking trails to the dunes, where you might also rent a dune buggy or take a guided tour at Sand Dunes Frontier, or rent a kayak to adventure on extensive Siltcoos Lake or Woahink Lake for a different perspective.
