Considering staying on the beautiful beachfront of Tybee during your visit to Savannah? If so, then you won’t have to look any further than our Tybee Island vacation rentals. We have a great selection of vacation homes on Tybee with a range of sizes and many are located steps from the beach and in quiet spots on the island. Our Tybee vacation homes offer you the ease and convenience of staying in a fully equipped and fully furnished home instead of a cramped hotel space.
One of our Tybee Island vacation rentals is located at 501C Miller Avenue and offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms with the capability to sleep up to six guests. This is a great location for vacation homes on Tybee, as it is an extremely quiet spot that allows you to hear more birds singing than any other noise. Like all our great Tybee vacation homes, this property offers a ton of amenities like a king bedroom, a queen bedroom, private parking, a balcony, outdoor seating area, a pool, washer/ dryer, dishwasher, flat screen TVs, Blu-ray players and wireless Internet. This town home has one set of stairs to enter it, but once inside all the bedrooms and living area are on the same level. You’ll find the parking area, which is big enough for two vehicles, beneath the living area of the home.
Once inside, you’ll find a beautiful living room painted in a gentle pastel. Comfortable seating faces a large flat-screen TV and the walls are sparingly decorated with nautical art. The balcony is just outside this living room and draped with curtains. Right next to the living room is a dining area with a table for six as well as a small wine bar with a sink. A ceiling fan provides a pleasant breeze if you wish. Go through a nearby doorway to find the fully equipped kitchen. This kitchen is cozy, but provides ample space to work and all modern appliances. In the same room is the conveniently stacked washer/dryer. In the next part of the home, you’ll find both bedrooms. The first is the master bedroom which features refreshing blue paint, a large mirror, king size bed and balcony access. This bedroom has a private bath with tub/shower combination. It also offers a flat-screen TV right in front of the bed and a ceiling fan. The next bedroom features a similar look, queen size bed, flat-screen TV and window. Both bedrooms and bathrooms feature charming nautical decor. The outside balcony is quite expansive and has a large table and deck chairs as well as a grill. The covered parking area beneath the house also has a table and chairs and plenty of room to chill out. This property has pool access and is close enough where you can easily watch children from the patio or balcony. If you prefer the beach, it’s a quick 3 block walk.
Once you’ve settled into your beautiful Tybee vacation home, you can prepare to explore the island or take the 30 minute drive into Savannah. On Miller, you are close to Marshland Fishing Adventures as well as Tybee Tours and Memorial Park and playground. You’re also not far from the beach to the east and Marlin Monroe’s Surfside Grill. If you head to the south from Butler Avenue, you will encounter the Tybee Island Marine Science Center, which is a fun and educational way to find out about the island’s ecology. From here, you’re immediately close to the Tybee Beach Pier and Pavilion. Nearby restaurants include Spanky’s Beachside, Sunrise and A-J’s Dockside, which is right next to Tybee Creek. Proceed slightly south and you’ll find the Back River Fishing Pier.
Exploring the island can be as involved or relaxed as you want. Mid Beach, South Beach and North Beach are the main beach areas on the island. Go to Mid Beach for a quiet, relaxing time in the sun or head for South Beach to find more amenities such as lifeguards on duty and a wide range of nearby shops and restaurants. Venture up to North Beach to spend some time beachcombing as well as visiting the Tybee Lighthouse and Museum. Because of its frontage on the Savannah River, Tybee also offers fresh water beaches in addition to the salt water. Besides exploring and visiting beaches, you can also rent watercraft or surfing equipment, or take charters out to view dolphins or get in some fishing time.
If you’ve opted for a longer stay in the area, you might want to take the half-hour drive over to Savannah and explore some popular destinations like River Street, Forsyth Park, the City Market and the Colonial Park Cemetery. Savannah also offers even more opportunities for shopping and eating. Both Savannah and Tybee see a variety of events during the year, so make sure to ask us for a current schedule. You might find anything from July fireworks, to ethnic food festivals to live music festivals.
