With an open plan and vaulted ceilings, High Country Hideaway’s warm tones and decor provides a homey atmosphere. Several pieces of furniture were handmade by the original owner from wood off of the land it was built on, giving the cabin that authentic rustic feel.
Located at the top of a ridge, this roomy cabin overlooks Blue Ridge on the west side. You’ll naturally be drawn outdoors by the spacious wraparound decks offering incredible year-round views. Settle into a glider, rocker or lounger for front row seats to stunning sunrises and sunsets over the mountains. Dog lovers - you’re in luck! The gated decks will be the perfect spot for your dog to enjoy the outdoors without wandering off.
The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is sure to make a chef swoon. Enjoy the high life and arrange for one to prepare a special meal for you and your guests, or have a laidback barbecue outdoors at the picnic table.
Kids of all ages will want to ’hideaway’ downstairs — the game room has everything they need to have a ball, from ping pong to a billiards table, games table and board games, cards, and books. It’s a snap to grab a snack and drink from the bar area, which includes a refrigerator and sink. They can even crash on the queen sleeper sofa in there. Watch out — they may have so much fun downstairs you might not see them the entire time!
With easy access to town and activities, it’s a breeze to explore the area. Hit the hiking trails right outside your door. Water lovers can spend the day fishing, swimming or boating at Lake Blue Ridge, or canoeing, kayaking or tubing the Toccoa. For some leisurely fun, do a bit of shopping downtown, go antiquing or wine tasting, take a historical tour or catch the local festival or performance in town.
Even on cooler evenings, you can still stay cozy outdoors. Unwind in the hot tub after your fun-filled day, or grab a nightcap and head to the separate lower deck to relax near the outdoor gas fireplace while constellations twinkle high above you.
Ready for lights out? Snuggle into the master bedroom’s beautiful timber bed to watch some TV, or catch some z’s in one of the guest bedrooms under charming patchwork quilts.
